You can have my 4 overwinterers - 4-5 months of cleaning out hedgehog cages twice a day will test your resolve :snorky:.

He he, I'd love it. Used to have a big family of Rabbits when I was younger and used to the constant cleaning from a Chinchilla and now two woofers!

I found a hog visitor at my new house and was so excited. Then literally a week later someone had run him over down the road. Absolutely gutted-he was a beaut.

Oh no, poor hoggy:sad:. Unfortunately thousands of hogs suffer this fate every year. You can put a mark on the hedgehogs with white masonry paint or white water based tipex, which makes the hog more visible in the dark. If you live in an urban area though where there are lots of people this might attract unwanted attention to the hog and thus create another problem. Its difficult.

I take orphans as well as the injured and underweight hoggies. Baby hedgehogs will melt even the strongest of hearts:wub2::wub2:

A local hedgehog sanctuary gets a little bit from our open garden as the lady who takes the £1 at the door also has a table selling a few bits and pieces for it. :dbgrtmb: All the rest is for the mentally handicapped children (they probably have a more PC name for it now ).

Yes, I wondered where they came from when they grew amongst my beans and sprouted different flowers :rolleyespink:. Zigs owned up - eventually. :snork:

Managed to get in the garden yesterday and got loads done and the garden is looking pretty tidy now. Still plenty to do but at least now all the old foliage has been cleared, clems cut back, vines pruned, etc. Give it a week or 2 and it will be full of kids toys again :wallbanging:
