Sown some cabbage, cauli and chard.

Then I made the bottom shelf for the new greenhouse staging I made and painted it.

Need to make the one for the other side of greenhouse tomorrow.

I cleaned out the Green House and re-organised it. This is how it looked:dunno::doh:
The large black trough is one of two that I have and I use them to make watering of certain plants easier by always having a inch or so of water in them as it's so much easier to water the trays from the bottom. I've cleaned the second one with Jeyes Fluid and it is now in the Green House with trays of seedling in it. So I've brought more seedling trays into the Green House, taken the pots out of the black trough that you can see, put the pots into the other side of the GH and put more seedling trays into it. You get the nice feeling when everything looks a bit tidier and more organised.:snorky:

Well, I planted the second of my dogwoods, and also some Lidl purchases (aubretia, Ameria and saxifrage) and tête-à-tête plants. Weeded around all my fruit bushes and trees, and lifted /divided some lambs ears, chives and campanula....

Edged a good portion of the back garden as per @shiney 's advice! Looks smart!

General tidy up and also potted up two bushy new rasps that arrived from marshalls. Planted a poorly azalea in a pot with ericaceous compost. New waitrose plants arrived and gave them all a good watering. :)

Went into B and M this afternoon to buy puppy pads and emerged with pads plus 1 Honeysuckle, 1 Hibiscus, 1 Clematis, 2 Cornflowers and 3 pots of Herbs:rolleyespink: . Minus price of pads I spent £12.00.

Spent 3/4 hour raking moss again and cut branches off Conifer type tree inherited with garden that has been scorched by wind/salt. Sat on patio with coffee and cakes enjoying glorious sunshine and listening to lots of tweety birds:dbgrtmb:

Now that I've got the mower working again I did two hours of mowing, then made new edges on another 100ft of lawn, reorganised the propagator so that I could put the 18 Begonia tubers, that I'd just started off in trays, in there. I also pulled up a couple of dozen Hellebore foetidus and binned them.

Nowt today, ok I watered the greenhouse plants but other than that nowt!

Carol is poorly so it falls on me to do all the mundane jobs, shopping, shipping dogs around and later a trip to Berkshire to pick up some railings. I'm not moaning though, knackered already BUT not moaning. Hopefully get a fair bit done tomorrow.

Being quite sad about not doing any gardening!

Short version of the story - I rent where I live, the fence next-door has broken, it's the neighbour's fence. She is going to put a new fence up but the border between properties used my shed as part of it. She asked to move the shed so she could put a new fence up all along the border. The letting agent got a workman in to move the shed so she could build a fence. The shed sadly broke in moving (it was old!) so now I am waiting on another workman to come and dismantle the old shed. He will be here either today or Monday but isn't able to say which. In the meantime all my gardening bits and bobs from the shed, tools, seeds etc are sat outside in a pile! There will be a new shed, but that will only be in about 3-4 weeks' time, and until then I don't have any space indoors to start seedlings off! Oh dear.

I might get the trimmers out and thin the buddleja out though, it has got quite wild of late... and tidy up my basket of pansies.

Edged & cut the grass and sowed some Cosmos & Sunflower seeds that are now resting in my grow/light house. Off to football soon, then collect fish & chips on the way home.

I've done some more edging and finished the front garden (only got, about, another 700ft of edging to go :phew:). I've removed and binned another 15 Hellebores that were getting in the way, dug out about 20 dandelions and a whole bin full of other weeds.

Time for lunch :dbgrtmb: and then I'll have a walk before starting on the back garden. I've got to think about pressure hosing the outside of the summerhouse. The algae builds up quite a bit on the gable ends and it's not too easy to do as the gables are 4 metres high and I'm not supposed to climb a ladder. ;)

planted alyssum saxatile goldball, some aubrieta royal red and a sedum, not sure what and the other plant that came with them had dissappeared. All from T&M last year that were just bunged in small pots outside..didn't have much hope for them then or now.. looked at the blowaway bits and thought sod that I'm off to the plot. Secured my bit of the polytunnel.. right next to the bloody door:doh:

Started off with a pruning and shredding session - dogwoods, viburnums, potentillas, euonymus and a lonicera 'Baggesen's Gold' in a large pot all done and shreddings added to the compost heap.

Then started digging over the veg plot so it's ready for the first sowings and the first early spuds to go in.

Finally made a start on the new patio/seating area. Dug up a massive clump of black grass and split it up and planted it in other parts of the garden. Loads of other plants ie hostas, carex grass, Impala red grass, day lilies to find homes for. Just got to make a start on removing the turf now
