Crikey - no, I don't think I've touched that! Was pulling out couch grass from inbetween lambs ears yesterday. Picked out a nettle but that was only in my hand - not covering my whole body like this rash is. Got it in my head legs arms stomach neck.

I can't see how it could have got through my jeans!?!

Thanks Zigs, did the glass check and it fades. I'm a bit of a rashy person. I get awful rash from connifers but didn't think it was that.

Just thought though - I am very allergic to hyacinth bulbs and I took the dead stems out of about 50 yesterday - could be that. Also got a box with oriental lily bulbs delivered - so might be that too. Taken a couple of steroid tablets so taken them too...probably making me tired!

Shhh!! :th scifD36: It's against the law for overflows from septic tanks to run into ditches unless you can prove the purity of the outflow. Definitely not allowed from cesspools. :dunno:

Been off with kids today, so no actual gardening yet. I have been to wilkos and bout a load of cell trays and plant labels. I went to 2 garden centres and neither sold plant labels. Went to local GC for some pots as wilkos had none. Need to start pricking out and potting on over weekend

                        "3. The general binding rules

You must follow the general binding rules if you’re the operator of a septic tank or small sewage treatment plant.

                        The sewage must:

                        • be domestic in nature, eg from a toilet, bathroom, shower or kitchen of a house, flat or business (eg a pub, hotel or office) - contact the Environment Agency if you’re not sure if the sewage is domestic in nature
                        • not cause pollution - find out how to check for pollution
There are other rules depending on whether you’re releasing this sewage:

                        • to the ground, eg in your back garden
                        • to a surface water, eg a river or stream
Ask your local installation or maintenance company if you’re not sure what sort of system you have.

                        Releasing to the ground

You must use a septic tank or a small sewage treatment plant and a drainage field (infiltration system).

You must apply for a permit if you release (‘discharge’):

                        • to a well, borehole or other deep structure"

                        • more than 2 cubic metres (2,000 litres) per day

                        • in a groundwater source protection zone (SPZ1)
You must also read the additional rules for discharging sewage to the ground.

Calculate how much sewage you discharge

For sewage from a residential property, use the calculator to work out how much you discharge per day.

Planted "stuff" with wee one out the back. Digitalis x 3, 2 packs of nerines, pack of liatris, papaver poppy, 2 acers, agapanthus x 3, 2 roses, mock orange, clematis, catmint, delphinium, hollyhock, choisya..um probably something else but forgot.

Came in because it was cold, washed up, made a victoria cake with frosting and cupcakes (ate about a quarter of the big cake to myself already..mmm) then went to pick up my new car  came back and watered "stuff"

I installed a new water feature this afternoon. Then it got chilly so I came indoors and ordered a tree fern and a Torbay palm :)

It's been a short working week for me so I took advantage and started potting up 6 cell trays with the annual plants I'd sowed for the garden and the Local Gardening Club sales in May. I'd potted up around 25 trays using compost from a half full 125 litre sack and realised I'd need more than that and the full one in the garage. So I drove to the next town where the nearest B&Q is and picked up six 125 litre sacks of their Verve General Compost. Since each sack weighs in at 97lbs:hate-shocked: I was "slightly" out of breath by the time I'd loaded the trolley, dragged it to the cash till, and then loaded the car.;) Getting them out of the car and into the garden is easier as I have a Porters Trolley. So now I'm set up for a days potting up of 6 cells trays with around 15 to 18 hundred seedlings:hate-shocked: I think, unfortunately, that I will need another 5 or 6 125 litre sacks for the Toms etc, but that's for another day.:coffee::snorky:

Gave plants a good kelching and then tidied greenhouse and set up some capillary matting to make sure plants are ok whilst I'm up in Lincolnshire for the weekend. :spinning:
