Got back to find a parcel for me.....of plants. Yippee! :rasp:
It was an order I had forgotten about (placed last autumn) but most welcome of heliotropes. I have a couple of varieties already with several plants dotted around strategic points, viz., pathways, doors, windows, sitting areas. The scent is wonderful from now until autumn of cherry pie. :yay: If you want scent in your garden you should get this plant....the sunnier and hotter it is the more intense is the fragrance :dancy:
4 new varieties incl White Lady, White Queen and Gratton Park now potted up and expecting even more fragrance from them in a few weeks.
After a misty morning the sun is out
          Have a good day everybody

Repotted all the cacti and stapeliads. Then hacked down the weeds growing through the fence from the wild area adjacent.

Bravo!!! :yay: It's amazing just how exciting it is when seeds you have sown poke up through the ground.

Last week I sowed radish, basil, lettuce, Swiss Chard and the last of the beans all of which are now sprouting. At the same time I planted coriander, spring onion, dwarf French beans and round carrots, but they are being shy

Yesterday I planted up one courgette plant into a fabric shopping bag; need some more compost so I can plant the other one.

Thinned out the radish seedlings today and prepared a hanging basket to plant on one of my Tumbling Tom Tomatoes.

Still finding the occasional sycamore seedling but I'm hoping that the last has been removed.

Me and the granddaughter are making nest boxes, this morning a few house martins was looking under our eaves :hapfeet: they might never come back :frown: but going to put a few boxes up, I don't think this is the ideal box for them but a start while I get some proper ones.

Tidying up the next section. Trimmed back the contorted hazel and still don't like it. To me it looks like its got a leaf curl problem but i know it's just the way it is.

Do you think this would have taken a long time to grow etc? I'm tempted to get rid of it but feel bad.

Times have been hectic here of late, so not much time to do anything in the garden!

Today I have tidied up the rose and tied the branches to some poles for strength, and done the weeding. Sat down and pinched out last year's Fuchsias which have started growing again (Carmel Blue, Lena Dalton and Snowdrop) and now relaxing with a lemsip (not too well at the moment) in the garden, listening to the woodpigeons, starlings, magpies, crows, and other birds chatter, whilst some bees are buzzing on the remains of the alliums.
