Just moved my mini allotment after realising the beans will soon outgrow that space, so reverted to Plan B.

They *may* come back, but, my thoughts are they may not take up residence in your boxes (as beautiful as they are too; great job!) because - and I may be wrong here - part of their relationship building is through house building. Each year they return here it is to a devastated old nest; then, the work begins repairing it, laying a clutch of eggs, repairing it, as one clutch fledges, more repairs, another clutch and the first fledglings help with the next clutch too. Yours are so solid, there won't be any "repairing" to be done. I'll keep my :fingers crossed: they work as my comments are only based on the past 3 years of observations and I could easily be mistaken

Healing vibes winging their way to you toppers :cmonhug:

Put the first 10 tomatoes in the decimator, reaching 44C in the sun :)

Today, I made a start on the 'really bad' corner of the patio - it has been getting on my wick since we moved in, but is one of the least used areas of the patio and never made it to the top of the to-do list.

              IMAG0096.jpg

I've levelled it up sympathetically to the rest of the patio (so still not properly level), and will point it tomorrow which should then let me pressure wash the entire patio into the drain that is in the corner (instead of chasing dirty water about the place!)

Then, I watered everything and took stock of everything that has sprouted.......

Do you think there are too many cauliflower seedlings in that barrel? :heehee:

Thanks M, they was looking for a place to nest I could tell with there behaviour looking under the eaves,

If the nest boxes would have been there this morning it might have encourage them to build new nest/repair what's there.

Chances are they now will have chosen another place to nest, they haven't returned to build, the hole point is to encourage them whether they use the box/not,

I'm quite clued up with birds ive studied them for over 40 yrs now, plants/gardening is a different matter :snork:

They are great things - we bought an Andrew James one recently, and love it. Pineapple and kiwi are really good - makes the flavours really intense.

Mine cost £25 but is out of stock on Amazon at the mo. Can't use it on my 12 volt system as it trips the inverter, but it's working fine on a concrete block in the greenhouse :)
