          I took another look at those cauliflower seedlings today, because I don't remember sowing a load of cauliflower seeds...... the barrel next to them has three seedlings, well spaced, with sort similar leaves but slightly darker......

          And then I noticed that the stalks on the seedlings en-massé in the other barrel had a red tinge...... Hmmmmm.....

          I think I sowed the cauliflower in the end barrel, and the one with the loads of seedlings are in fact radishes! :psnp:

              I am terrible for not labelling stuff - - I have a dose of tomatoes in the greenhouse, and not a bloomin' clue which are which! :redface:

              It's always a nice surprise when they bloom/fruit.... :snork:

                It's just as well you're not growing fungi. :yikes:

                If they are radishes you've got a lot of 'hot' salads coming up this summer. :)

                      Did lots of staking and putting in plant supports yesterday thankfully, the weather terrible today and all week. Just been out slug hunting again for the umpteen time, tried nematodes 2 weeks ago now haven't noticed a difference at all, big slugs - tiny slugs everywhere

                        Today will be spent trying to salvage what's left after a troupe of wild boar laid waste to most of the garden overnight:cry3: Don't really know where to start, although getting shrubs and perennials replanted before the sun comes out is priority. Then trying to level the lawn again and harvest any useable veg.
                        Never felt so dispirited before.....

                          Good morning @noisette47 my friend I know the feeling well when last year my first time of growing 15 Dahlia's and the snail/slugs destroyed them all,you will get through this setback:grphg: I have started growing some more Dahlias this year only 3 though,and I am watching their progress every day,so far so good,to day I am going to hang a new exterior side gate,enjoy your day my friend:smile::blue thumb:

                              Aww @noisette47 sounds awful. I'm guessing it is quite difficult to keep them out. My neighbour (the farmer) has to use electrical fence around the edges as the piggies were so powerful and breaking through things. Good luck with getting it all back together, I'm sure once you start it'll come together quickly. :grphg:

                                FC, have you dried herbs in it before? Wondering if it is good for that? Would be ace to dry my thai basil to put in curry....costs a lot of money to buy fresh and doesn't last long.
