Today I have been mostly mowing my glasses.;)

They fell off when I walked out the greenhouse yesterday, I distinctly remember thinking, I'll pick them up on the way back.

However, other things take your attention, and it wasn't until the mower made a loud clattering sound that I realised what I had done.

Dont believe all that rubbish they tell you at the opticians, they are no way indestructible, especially if run over by a mower.:yikes::biggrin:

Me and mr snorky have offered him market rate which is generous considering he is limited to who he sells it to.

There is something very fishy about the whole development and the land. It's taken two years to do a small barn conversion (last on the site). They run the management company but we only seem to get the grass cut-yet theyre charging an annual charge in excess of 1000. I have asked for copies of the last 3 years accounts so i can audit them but never get a response. They are so cheeky too-they sent a letter to all residents a week before xmas saying they were selling the bit of land that the guy needed for his driveway....luckily we soon put a stop to that. None of the other residents are very business minded so me and mr snorky have to translate everything for them into plain english.

Anyway....just got back in from cutting all of the sites conifer hedges that the management companies contractors have NEVER done.

Yep-we are waiting for this years annual charge to come through.

Also had troubles with our klargester. The developers decided to get some "bloke" to come and empty it-they didnt actually empty it and then tried to charge over £1200-we all paid the money between us as they said this was over the annual charge. Then a few of us cottoned on to the fact it hadnt been emptied so the developers refused to pay-they then got the phone numbers of a few people and started making threatening calls that they were going to come back and "dump s**t all over your front lawns". The whole thing is a joke....i might start a new thread about this as would be interested to get some advice.

And I thought we had major problems when the Dustbin men initially wouldn't empty any bins whose lids were open by a quarter of an inch.:hate-shocked::dunno::heehee::loll:

Aww, gorgeous hedgehog pics. We used to get hedgehogs many years ago but as the roads have got busier, we no longer see any. Likewise with squirrels. Such a shame.

Been on my hands and knees doing some hand pollination with the aubergines and sweet peppers. Let's hope the effort pays off!

Watered pots, front garden and veg plot, whilst sampling the Broad beans and radish. Did some tying in of cucumbers and toms and removed side shots. Needed to empty the kids paddling pool, so I buckets it out into the water butt by the greenhouse and almost filled it. I have just put the hose on the new border I am digging over to try and make it a bit easier as it is absolutely solid.

Managed to dig over about 4 square Meyers of the new border. Took about 3 hours it's absolutely solid. Forecast about 12 hrs of rain overnight and tomorrow. Hopefully it will aid me tomorrow night.
