It's always a good discipline to write out labels before even opening the packets of seeds. :blue thumb: Then all you have to do is to remember to put them in the trays :snorky:

We went round to the garden we designed and it's looking very good. Much more colourful that ours. There are fairly narrow raised beds, with railway sleepers, all round the fencing. It's a small fenced garden and there are seven large, framed, mirrors on the fence that work extremely well. The best one was where the Verbena bonariensis had been planted in front of it. A perfect setting for it.

The only downside was that they had used very well rotted horse manure :dbgrtmb: but we found one dock plant that had grown very big (they thought it was a good plant) and, horror of horrors, some ground elder :yikes:

No gardening today as we have guests.

Good morning @Verdun its very rare for me but I have no motivation for wallpapering today,I would much prefer to be out with my camera in the middle of some Kentish meadow ,breathing in the lovely fresh air with the wind in my face and the sun on my back, but in here infinite wisdom Mrs Woo has said"I will be your motivation" just get it done before lunch:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

A camera is on my wish list WO.....a decent one.
The wallpapering will suddenly be a thing all done and dusted......did you miss a bit there? :lunapic 130165696578242 5:
Spent 2 hours trying to sort my desktop computer out today.....thought I had a virus. Convinced in fact then penny dropped......keyboard batteries needed replacing. Relief but feel a fool. On the plus side a plant delivery arrived and delighted with that.
Swings and roundabouts this life thing eh? :rasp:

Good afternoon @Verdun if I can be of any help inyour quest for a new camera just ask,my friend ,I've been on the swing so long I had forgotten about the roundabouts;)Wall papering all done,(and now its raining)we've all been there,I remember in our last heavy snow,I saw a damsel in distress her car wouldn't start,so I pushed the car for about 100 yards, completely knackered and still it wouldn't start,I said to her undo the bonnet and I will have a look, and would you believe it there was no battery in there it was missing, she then said to yours truly Oh! I lent it to my friend as her car wouldn't start,,If only I had looked before I pushed the car, there's a lesson in there somewhere, enjoy the rest of your day:smile:

Got as far as planting the two white Asters and then :rain: and more :rain: so gave up. Don't mind light rain but can't see the point of gardening in heavy rain. Turned quite chilly as well, had to light wood burner yesterday morning and today as well as in the evening. Dimitri is a big fan of the wood burner :lunapic 130165696578242 5: and has taken up residence in the lounge.

I took this cutting in early September and its growing well, seems to be putting all its energy into growing as not producing flower buds. All my other cuttings, which are much smaller, continually develop tiny flower buds and I remove them. My question is should I take the tops off this cutting as its getting a bit leggy and will it go dormant like the adult Fuchsia's do?

Verdun are you looking for a pocket sized camera or something larger?

I always pinch out tips of cuttings so, yes, I would do that to yours.
Well I checked out Wise Owl's suggestion and it looks excellent.:)
Took a couple of pics of beach yesterday morning on my phone.....they were ok but not great. A dedicated camera would have been better:)

@Jack Sparrow I have a white and pink achillea that's begging for a new home(s), would happily send them to you if you like. They seem to multiply freely here and I'm not too fussed on them.

Decided I got too many pots round the front, pulled up some "ugly" dahlias, dumped all the other dahlias round the back out of sight (out of mind), potted up my new bulbs and bedding yesterday. Feel bit relieved, been on my to do list and haven't been bothered last few weeks.

Took 2 pots of raspberries up the allotment, fall gold and Glen Moy..not planted yet. Planted onions and garlic.. another job I've been putting off. More to put in on plot 2 tomorrow.
