Leave it, Lucius, let your ponds get on with their Life naturally. Too much scrutinisation and worrying about your ponds will spoil your enjoyment of them.:dunno::snorky:

I just wasn't sure about leaving dead fleas to decay into the water, if they are dead. The sink is fairly small so easily polluted perhaps :dunno:, but if you think it best I will leave the weed alone:)

      Hiya lucius
      Good value indeed.
No, I would leave them now.....for aesthetic looks I would remove any dead grass blades. I guess they are in 9cm pots.....if so I would pot on for a couple of weeks or so. Loosen roots first though after soaking for 20 minutes or so.:)
I share ARMANDII's opinion......enjoy what you have without over worrying about those "fleas".

The dead fleas merely turn, eventually, into nutrients for other insects etc, which is Nature doing it's thing, lucius:heehee::snorky::coffee:

Potted up a red Topmix Dahlia and I'm determined not to let the slugs and snails eat it.

Sowed some cat grass and sizzler chilli seeds.

          Cut back an overgrown Acuba.

Leveled off my yew at 6 feet.

And when packing up I managed to spill the rest of the cat grass seeds on my greenhouse floor. :oopss:

Went to mums on wednesday and back home this afternoon. Can't believe how quick the seeds i did earlier in the week have germinated! Talk about leggy!! Zinnias, Cosmos etc.

Had brought a magnolia into the greenhouse incase it snowed and destroyed the flower buds whilst we were away. Came back to this....Brilliant! Especially considering how I found it when we moved to this house the other year.

The patio peach is looking good too!

So lovely to see the garden coming to life. Just needs to dry up now (been saying that for weeks now!)

Zinnias germinate amazingly fast . My Zinnia Sunburst germinates in 3 to 4 days .

Went into the Green House and potted up some bare root Astilbe, Phlox, and some Convallaria. The Convallaria are bound the sales in the local Gardening Club and some for the Open Day in Shineyland. Any outside work in the garden could only be done if I was wearing a Scuba outfit so I didn't bother.:dunno::heehee:

Finally a warm dry day here! Potted on lots of seedlings - coreopsis, guara, cosmos, gazina, dianthus and tomatos. Space is tight but I'm a bit nervous about leaving them in the coldframe overnight, so might back and forth for a few days...

Also lifted and divided the waterlily. I doubt it's been touched in a fair few years; it was bursting out of the basket and the mud stank to high heaven. We only got a few flowers from it last year, I'm hoping it'll be a bit happier and more productive with a bit more space.

The hens, meanwhile, have decided nextdoor's garden is far more appealing than ours

:ThankYou:. Yes, in 9cm pots. There was just the two of them, so as you said they look best in groups of 3 what could I use as the 3rd plant? Should I go for another grass or flowers - needs to be wildlife friendly ?

I had a sunny day and we were up to nealy 40f so I went out and started clean up some of the raised beds..at least the ones that were part way thawed.

I fixed a small problem with the greenhouse after the other night's 100k winds. I also hooked up the electric fence.. raccoons are in for a surprise tonight :)

Not crucial lucius. Just plant out the two. Sometimes I plant singles, sometimes in 3's, 5's etc. Sometimes in 7's as I often do with cosmos. However, I would not plant them together; plant them as single units apart and they will look just fine. :)
