I've not heard furckle before @ARMANDII ? I looked this up and it seems to be something to do with cooking. :)

I've been watering bracken and various other scrub plants all afternoon with SBK.

If you've never furckled before, Sheal, you've missed so much!!:heehee: In Cheshire to "furckle" means to have a root around, investigate, in a slow, relaxed manner.:dunno::snorky:

        I bet they were pleased.:heehee:

Have a little furckle, Gail, and you might find your mind will wander rather than wonder.:heehee:

I'll try a little furckle-ing then Armandii. :snorky:

I try not to use weed killers but there are times when it's the only way of keeping these type of plants under control. :)

Oh my giddy aunt @ARMANDII that`s done it now. I shall have nightmares about your furckling including your waders filling up with water - I can see it now, the rescue fire engine, and the winch being set up to suck you up out of your furckle - the paramedic standing by with the silver blanket to wrap you up in .... watch out for leeches .....:thud:

To be quite honest, Tetters, the one thing that usually poses a problem for me is actually getting out of the pond when I want to. Getting in the pond is easy, getting a reasonable purchase place on the banks without doing any damage, to me or the plants, usually needs a bit of thought and effort. But, in truth, getting out today was a lot easier, for some reason, than I thought it would be:thumbsup::hapydancsmil::snorky: One of the joys of the Wildlife pond is that it is hidden at the bottom of the garden and has a 6' to 8' high Jasmine and Clematis hedge between the pond and the House so nobody can see you or know you're down there, as I become more:old: I just might need that Rescue Engine.:heehee: I haven't seen any Leeches in the pond:dunno: but if there are they're all part of the ecology system so I wouldn't have a problem with that. I know it sound strange but having your arms and hands deep in the water searching around in the dangling roots of the Marginal plants and in the sludge is quite relaxing. So far I haven't managed to get water in the Chest Waders, but I have managed to get it in the big Chest Pocket of the Waders where I stow the various tools I need to prune and cut back the marginal and Bog Plants, so it's been close at times:hate-shocked::dunno::heehee: I'd forgotten to mention that a juvenile Robin turned up and spent a good 20 minutes with me wondering what I was doing while checking out the dead leaves, debris and sludge that I was throwing ontgo the banks, so I wasn't alone all the time:dunno::heehee:

Now that is below the belt @ARMANDII! :)

As it happens Mr S made a complaint today at the office of the huge estate that surrounds us. We're waiting on a phone call in response.
