Finally I sowed and planted last seeds and seedlings to the garden. It has been so dry last weeks that I had to sow again some beans and peas. And now starts the endless weeding and watering and weeding and watering…

Bloomin' hot . Cant complain cos I like it

Took a car load of plants to my nephew's today.....salvias, argyranthemums, cosmos, heliotropes, fuchsias and a daphne ...a tomato plant and some strawberries too  Duly planted in the heat......his garden is typically new build where the soil is hard and difficult. Spoiled here with my very deep sandy loam where I can....often do...plant with my hands :). My 30 month old great niece wanted to help too!!.

Few jobs here later.....watering and lawn mowing. Much later.

Blackbirds got their eyes on the Strawberry plants here. I've seen them checking out the developing fruits. They do like Strawberries :snorky:.

I grow strawberries which are safe from birds - white strawberries. Unfortunately their berries are small and taste like pineapple. That´s fine of course if you really like pineapple…

Saliha I love pineapple and the only time I have it, is if we go out and I choose a gammon meal and have that on top :love30:

Time to see if we can turn one of our Japanese maples around. It's been overshadowed somewhat by plants around it, funnily enough including a second maple that we planted at the same time which is fairly 'slightly' better.

Can't do much more than give it some mycorrhizal fungi, phostrogen, move it into a spot where it'll get a lot more sunshine and keep my fingers crossed.

Are you sure you`re not picking them before they are ripe?
The wild strawberry (Fragaria vesca) grows around here - all over the place, I have no idea why the birds leave them alone -

Yes, I know when they are ripe as their white color will change a little yellowish. They also make fruits during all growing season and the latest time when I found ripe berries was at the end of October. It was quite a feeling to eat fresh strawberrries at the garden while snowing. :heehee:
