@Kandy the :hhog: do suffer greatly in hot weather, so it's good you left out some water. Hopefully it was a pregnant or nursing mum and not a hog with heat stroke. Mums tend to be quite bright and quick, just grab a snack and drink and then back to the nest. A hog moving slowly, appearing disoriented, wobbly, panting, coughing or sunbathing is sick - but I'm sure you know all this :) :dbgrtmb:

I don't feed peanuts, mealworms or sunflower any more due to advice issued by Vale Wildlife hospital about metabolic bone disease.

With Carol away, I've had her work to do on top of my own so not much done in the garden, stuffed myself silly with strawberries ( I don't like fruit (a view that's changing) but didn't want them going to waste! ):snorky:

We are waiting this weather to here at the Monday. Or we are praying it will come as here has been too dry almost one month and all nature is yelling some water. If winds come too, no problem.

Cut all the edges of the lawn and did a bit of weeding.

Want to make the borders a bit wider, but can't do it until it's rained a lot to make the ground softer.:)

I know it's frustrating when you can't do things. How did you do it?

Filled the two largish pots at the front door with compost / manure, they been empty for a few days so don't want to give thefts any idea of lifting them. It took over 50 litres of compost to fill one, cost me a fortune in compost filling my pots / planters up, it worth it though. I've plonked Dahlia David Howard in the middle of each pot as a centre piece, not sure what to go with this year to fill the rest of the pot up with, I've got some tithonia plants so may try them and some trailing begonia or petunia what you think :noidea:
