      Ok BigC :)
I take strong, 2" to 3" cuttings of new wood (now is good time) and remove all but top 2 or 3 leaves. Put 5, 7 or 9 cuttings around the rim of a 9cm pot of half compost and half perlite.....appprox. Water. Put in propagator or cover with poly bag. Leave outside out of direct sun. Depending on variety they should root within the month.:)

Today I am bringing the olive trees into the screen house one at a time for a good pruning and fertilizing. That may not seem like a big deal, but consider the temperature today is 100F with the humidity at 80 plus %. You can work up a good sweat by just blinking your eyes. We are in for six days with the temperature in the mid-nineties F and this is only day two. Why my ancestors left County Durham 170 years ago to come to this part of the world is a mystery to me. In the winter it is an icbox, in the summer is it a sauna. :noidea:

I've just come in from doing 2.5hrs more of weeding. Mainly strawberry weed amongst the stachys:phew: It was half a wheelie bin full. :hate-shocked:

Had to put the sprinkler on the bed with the Veronicastrum as the leaves were drooping.

Yes BigC, Amistad is actually very, very easy.
Ditto caradonna but this can be divided after 3 years or so. Simply dig it up and slice through to make 2, 3 or 4 clumps :)

Only watering. Like @hydrogardener it is over 100f here right now. I'm mixing a spritzer and staying out of the sun!

No gardening at all, apart from watering. Way to hot  I did rescue some small plants from the sun into the shade but apart from hanging the washing out I've abandoned my garden :doh:it is fending for itself
Hubby has kindly watered the greenhouse  the thought of going in there made me :thud:
I need to get on top of the weeds soon though, ......:love30:

If you don't mind me asking, where have you got them?
I started sowing biennials a few weeks ago, in a shady place outdoors. I've had very mixed results so far. Trying to keep seed trays moist is proving to be difficult
