@wiseowl I bet you can't wait...when we got rid of our lawn it was removed by a skip.:frown: my dog when he was alive started ripping it :)

Made a start on digging Bog garden hole this afternoon. Its 18" deep and approx 2ft x 2ft wide and long. I am going to make it a little bigger. Hoping to get some gardening time tomorrow. Quite tired tonight :lunapic 130165696578242 5:.

Good to see you back on here @Verdun :) I wondered where you had been all winter :heehee:

Hello @Verdun how are you?...not seen you on for a while.

I noted all those plants you mentioned in the discussion about my front garden and needing grasses because i'm going to have to replace my bottle brushes all 5 on the front are nearly at deaths door :frown:

                    Hello Gail.
Well, grasses are a favourite of mine but dont be in a rush to remove your bottle brushes.....just yet anyway. Lots of things look dead at this time of year but recover by April.
Nothing lost by waiting a while :)

@Gail_68 I have two dwarf bottle brushes, which we bought late summer 2017. I didn't and still don't have anywhere suitable to plant them, so they are in makeshift pots - old recycling boxes :heehee:. Mine got scorched by a storm and have been sat in wet compost all winter as I kept forgetting to raise the pots up. They look a little battered and worse for wear but may prevail once the weather warms. Don't give up on yours yet :)

I'm terrible @luciusmaximus for getting things out if they look done in but like I said to Verdun I never plant until april/may sometimes I have had plants put in at march when we've had some good warm weather...no I won't give up because they're my favourite plant and the care that's gone into them plus the shaping and reading on them I've done to keep them right. :)

Good morning everyone yes its 6am and its the early Owl that catches the Mice:heehee: I have some more leveling out to do as the new turf will be arriving at 8am quite a way to carry it from the road,a lot of steps to climb about 100 yards to where I am going to lay it,so I will have to take it steady,3 strapping 6ft + sons but they are all at work, but to day was the only day I could get the turf delivered, they said we will do Saturday Dad , but I can't stand their all day looking at the turf and do nothing;) enjoy your day and keep smiling:smile:
