Cut lawns.......very lush now following the rain :)

Took Nico....white golden retriever puppy....for a walk and he decided to wade into the mud beside a river. So muddy legs and tummy but rather happy and he had fun so...:)

Some rain again tonight but thereafter warmer and then hot by mid week so summer will be back:SUNsmile:

I'm not going to ask how you wash him ;)….my friend had a staff who's passed away now but could he get to shower or bath him no way...then he dried baby wipes to try and freshen him up but his coat ended up going greasy...here's comes the best part :phew: he put him on his long dog lead attached it to the washing line and hosed him down and pour shadow was squealing like a baby he said...he only had the neighbours around they thought he was harming him :snorky:

Dead heading has been the main priority, thankfully the weather gods blessed us with rain yesterday ( all day ) the plants look a bit battered though
My staking seems to be lacking, so many plants flopping about!
                Must try harder!
Oh dear.... that reminds me of my childhood reports :lunapic 130165696578242 5:
Mr Wallis, I tried, I really did :noidea:

Well today the other bird bath...is now on the front garden stuck to the ground  and the old one will be most likely heading to the skip, even though there's nothing wrong with it :snorky:

I've just messed about in the back garden removing any dead flowers and checking plants...all the sweeping and cleaning was done yesterday...so a nice easy day :)

Only an hour or so in the garden but lifted helictotrichon sempervirens and divided it.....now have 4 large plants. It is an impressive grass....like a very tall testuca; in flower it stands 5' or more and it probably is the earliest of the grasses to flower. Can highly recommend it as a stand alone feature from spring to mid summer:)
Will pick more runner beans later :)

I'll head out side in a bit and most likely sweep the yard, as the birds love tossing the gravel out the borders looking for food :snorky: and I was pleased this morning to see the first Ring Dove approach the new bird bath...testing the depth with it's tail and then drinking from it...hopefully the other birds will follow suit :fingers crossed:

More what I cant do in the garden today rather than what I can..the grass is uber lush and thick and needs a haircut but oh this rain is never ending...the weather has turned in this part of the world but the plants needed it...The Silver Birch is going into the ground now the soil is wet and loose enough to dig a big hole. A job I've been putting off..lol

Dry again here BigC....enjoy planting your silver birch :).

Back from the beach....very warm; the temperature last night could not have fallen below 16 degrees I think:SUNsmile: not sure much sun is forecast for today though. I am noticing the slightly shorter days though :noidea:

Will be checking among the many pelargoniums I grow in the conservatory for the odd caterpillar ....always seems to be one plant or two they are focussed on so I will remove any critter I see. Never more than a couple but it seems an annual event now, The holes in the leaves give a very good clue as to where they are so are easy to spot.

The local nursery is "calling" me so I will see if anything takes my fancy:)
