Potted on my lstest hackonechloa that the postie kindly gave me today
About to water plants in pots....it has been a lovely, sunny warm day
Otherwise nowt done in the garden today

Just look at the time - I meant to get the tractor mower out an hour ago - have to get as many acres cut as possible today... it`s growing like stink out there

 

Just dug up a huge clump of Crinum Powellii which has got too big. The original bulb was sent to me by a member of GC several years ago. It took a while to get established but now it's too big for it's boots so will have to be split and repositioned.
I also repositioned a small hydrangea that was being hidden by a myrtle. The same myrtle I thought was dead after the beast from the east is now thriving - phew.
I planted a pink gaura, and a peach double echinacea to increase my perennials.

@shiney have you got a knee brace for when your dodgy knee plays up? I was advised to get one when I had knee problems the other Xmas and I find that it does help when I have been able overdoing things and it starts to play up.I got mine from Boots Chemist and it has been a godsend as it helps with the pain and after a few hours I can remove it and then I am ok

I am on tea duty this morning as finally our new conservatory is being installed this week so the fitter is pleased with the cups of tea I keep giving him.Would offer biscuits but I dare not buy them as like cake I would eat the whole packet in one go so best not go there

PS,I have been busy in the garden this week potting on daffodil bulbs that have now died right back so thought they would enjoy some fresh compost plus some water so they can start to get their roots down ready for flowering next spring

Alana, crinum powellii has flowered beautifully this year but yes they do develop huge bulbs.....you have made me think about dividing mine too. The gaura and echinacea are lovely plants

No gardening today so just perusing the forum and handing out compliments!

 

Been out of action for a few days so plenty of deadheading to catch up on. I've also cleaned out and refilled the 'bulb pot' with soil in anticipation of Monty giving us the go ahead to plant the spring flowering bulbs in the next couple of GW episodes.

Just the small matter of 150 or so dwarf tulips, daffs and crocus bulbs to scatter around the garden - whilst debating whether to get some autumn flowering ones too, before it's too late.
