WHAT JOBS ARE WE DOING IN THE GARDEN TODAY 2018

@Loki - not quite sure what has got your goat, or why you singled out my post - my post was in response to someone else and a comment they made. Just as I do with many members on here, I have a banter - a joke - a chuckle. Only today I made a comment to one member stating they should have their wings clipped. Clearly that wasn't literal, it was metaphorical. So why take my comment as literal and not metaphorical? I've offered cakes and booze to people on here, all metaphorical, not literal! Why should that particular comment cause you upset?

I can understand how you feel but, to be fair, unless someone is on here day in, day out, 24/7 and without knowing each and every poster intimately (by that I mean very well, I don't mean the other meaning ) how can jokes/banter not, at some stage, come across as "in" even when they are not!?
Martin posted that he had referred to something, I responded that I would never divulge: it is BANTER!!! That is what friendly people do, they banter! Pull each others leg.

I can only apologise if my post upset you, but, in truth, I was merely replying to martin's banter and no one else on the forum crossed my mind. Sorry, but they didn't
If I had to consider every member of GC before I posted a reply ... I'd never post a reply! Who would have the time?

 

I have never met anyone there in the flesh. Just decided that I'm comng to visit. But when I get there I shall be striking out on my own or making friends along the way. My Mother was a war bride so maybe that sparked my interest too?

So... that says something very nice about this group. I mean, a flight and basic accommodations (read hostels) will cost me somewhere in the £1500 range.. to start.... and I have always really liked the banter, so... I'll put my money where my ....

While ther, I will probably post on what we did today, "I have bought seeds which I plan to smuggle ...." or "bought these seeds... who is willing to post them to Canada for me?"

I like playing in the dirt and socializing with those of like mind. Doesn't matter to me what level of gardening skills a person has because I am always at 101 level

So, everyone, give yourself a pat on the back.

I appreciate your comments, although none where needed. I completely understand that I'm not a regular poster. I just have an issue with people being rude!

 

That's why I love this place! And I think that's why it's such a special place.

Goodness me, it is morning already....now let me see, what jobs will I be doing in my garden today (when it gets light) Firstly, I will do the rounds again with the doggie poo bags - which is a must come hell or high water, then I shall have a check up to see how @luciusmaximus is faring with the pond, then I might sow some more seeds to go in the propagator - as there is just a bit more space...... but first, some sleep
