I went away to Rajastan for a couple of weeks and then came back and tried to catch up on this thread. After a few pages of people making comments to each other, pleasant and unpleasant, I think I understood more of the Hindi people were saying whilst I was away than of the posts on here!

Don't know when it got back to normal but I've just come through to the last page

Done absolutely nothing in the garden as there's this white stuff all over it. :scratch:Makes a change from desert! :snorky:

Anyway, glad you are back from your travels Shiney! :) you've got some lovely piccies of the birdies I've seen already. Did you visit any gardens over there?

Doing depressing job today - cleaning LOADS of old labels for reuse. Warm water and one of the magic melamine sponges cleaned off all the evidence of the many plants I have managed to kill, and the millions of seeds I have failed to germinate...
But I still went and sat in polytunnel to plant more seeds for the heated propagator! Hope springs eternal...

We all have to do that if we're trying to push things a bit!

Flurries of light :snow: this morning and :sunny: this afternoon, so snow mostly all gone now :yahoo:. Wind brought down a tree yesterday afternoon . I would like to replace it with the same as it's very good for wildlife with orange/ yellow flowers which Bees love and purple/blue berries which Birds love. I don't recall its name but Shiney has at least one in his garden. I asked for id awhile ago on this tree and should have written it down somewhere. I have looked online but can't find it.

Went and had a look at my hole in the ground. :snorky:

Your not on your own i was having my own opinion on the matter then got accused of criticism.

No post have been removed it is what you see.

It didn't to me  but have a go at me and i am having a go back unless i am out of order then i would be man enough to apologize,

In this instance i wasn't out of order i was having an opinion and stating facts.

                      So now you know :heehee::).

We all knew that before, Martin.:dunno:  I would be grateful if there were no further "chewing on the bone" and the GC Gang were allowed to carry on with the true topic of the Thread. So, yet again, a polite request, that we patch up our wounded ego's/pride/whatever and return to the genuinely friendly converse for which GC is known for.:snorky:

Maybe this should have been mentioned on the above post save you quoting me all the time  i let it drop but thought i needed to defend my corner :),

Might be a good idea to delete all post and forget about it.

I think most GC members know and understand, Martin, that is there is no need for anyone to defend themselves as that is the job of the Administrative Team. What does cause problems is where members exchange "tit for tat" posts that do not further their point of view, and continue to do so making matter worse until Admin has to, reluctantly, intervene.
I'm not a lover of Rules and Protocols and believe that Rules are there to guide you rather than Rule you but, in cases where posts offend a person, the normal procedure is for that person to Report the Post not carry out on the Open Forum on an argument that only makes both parties look, shall we say, slight immature.

I have twice requested that, Martin, and it has twice been ignored:doh:.........all in the name of what appears to be wounded pride. However, we do not delete posts in Threads unless they are offensive and breach the Rules and Protocols of GC. I do not intend to continue on this subject and would be grateful if members would also not continue to "chew on the bone" in this thread. If any member wishes to express further thoughts on the matter they can pm me or any other member of the Admin Team.

Only a few. Most of the gardens there are not what we call gardens. They're more structural with fountains, trees and grass.

We did visit about eight World Heritage sites and loads of forts and temples.
