The Beast From The East part two has arrived here. Too cold and too windy to do anything other than feed birds and clean/feed the outside hedgehogs. I did go and have a look at the pond. I seem to have got into the habit of doing this several times a day. Don't know why really because there's not much to see at the moment :snorky:.

Lots of more unwelcome snow. Fed the blackbirds & robins.

Major gardening today! No don't hold your breath - I watered the four lonely plants in my one and only flower bed. Despite the occasions we've had snow here the ground has been very dry in between.

Snow stopped play. Fed birds and it was good watching, literally, hundreds of birds on the ground picking up what the others were throwing down from the feeders. Three kgs of seed filled up yesterday - gone this morning :rolleyespink:

Broke the ice on the water butts for the birds. Transplant chilli seedlings to modules, compost has been warming up inside since Friday.

Walked Ozzy - who thought he was in heaven rolling in the snow and tossing it upwards with his nose
As soon as we returned home, I checked on the girls, gave them fresh water and gathered the eggs (4 today!).
One very positive aspect of the snow ... :th scifD36: ... those stealth seedlings, sycamore, were visible! Easy peasy to quickly pull them up and call it my work out for the day: job done!

Checked on my seeds in the bathroom and happy to report most are now seedlings  so I've opened the vents on the el cheapo propagator.

Not much else will happen today because I have other priorities, but at least the garden got some, albeit limited, attention :pathd:
