Haha I can just see my companions face as she realises I’ve sneaked my gear in with my holiday stuff. I’ve just told her I want to set up a cam to watch her grass and she believed me.

Lots of jobs I guess....picking produce, cutting the grass. I’m thinking a lot about it all.
Very, very hot though so is it good for the garden for me to traipse about on it? And, did I say?, it is so very hot.
The beach is 5 mins away. Nico would like a swim.:noidea:
So very difficult ! Isn’t life awkward sometimes?
      And it is soooo hot:SUNsmile:
      Sooo hot

I don’t blame you, just right for bedding to dry. Grass has stunted here so after one job and cancelled jobs I’m putting my feet up for some reading. Got to put some bins in later after they have been emptied for some of my customers but an easy day.

I've not done a lot. I had to do all the ironing from our holiday before I could go in the garden. I've now done a load of weeding (half a wheelie bin) and as the temperature has now topped 30C I'm packing up for the day.

Mrs Shiney is still working out there!!! :rolleyespink:

I made four buckets of a mixture of compost, grit, and sand early this morning while it was still "cooL" for potting up the 4 newly arrived Iris, and the Iris are sitting in the pots on the patio.:hapydancsmil::yes:
:) I think I'll leave the main jobs of watering and feeding plants, where needed, until tonight when, hopefully, it will be oooler. I might also mow the lawn at around 8pm or 9pm. I say mow but I think I will have to strim it first as I have purposely fertilised it and let it grow to over 6 inches in order to improve it.:coffee:

Just been watering and later after the little rain barrel solar pumps have gotten a dose of sun, I will re-prime one with a turkey baster. Supposed to be self priming but...

Then I will patrol the spent blooms and see who needs decapitation and who is going to donate seeds to the garden Queen's supplies fot this coming winter.

Also I've got to keep an eye on two of tne cannabis plants. They are acting suspiciously and may try to hide signs of being male and possibly ruining the girls If my suspicious are correct, I'll rip them out and put them in the brown bag dungeon to die an ignominiouss death. Naughty boys!

In between I've got to deliver a slip cover and this lady has some nice plants in her front garden and she may be nice enough to let me do a little snipping :)

I watered a friend’s garden for her this morning, as they are away on holiday.
By the time I’d done my morning chores, and got back home it was getting too hot, so I’m hiding inside until the sun eases.... 35c is too hot for us all today!!

Took some plants to the local hospice ....incl a couple of scented heliotropes and zaluzyanskias. Think they were well appreciated :)

Let Nico swim in the river just now....he loved it. Cooled him down nicely. Now he’s puffed out. A slight cooling breeze now to make it very pleasant :)

Watered and Damped down the Greenhouse and misted my Tom flowers, this weather is upsetting them...picked more Raspberries ,was going to sweep out the chook run but the 'girls' came in to see what I was doing and kept interfering so gave it up..
The wind is getting up now and anyone who knows me knows I hate the wind but today in this heat I absolutely love it..:yahoo:

                            Love the Achilleas Nikalaos. :)
I have a couple here but Moonshine has been in constant flower since late spring. :)

I had never even seen a multi-coloured Achillea before spotting this in a garden centre @Verdun! Came in a tiny pot so it must be a cultivar, can't be a load of plants packed in there. Never realised these all have slightly scented foliage, smells rather nice actually.
