    Good morning @Retired. Your large garden is lovely and natural. My goodness, I think I see some sun in one of the photographs! :hate-shocked: :heehee: :whistle: :scratch: :SUNsmile:

    I have a gardener who comes every 3/4 months to do the hard grafting of pruning the large trees/shrubs. He was due Saturday ... but we had rain for the first time in four months so he had to cancel and re-scheduled for next Saturday. Must have been your Blackie visiting us ... Thank you. :love30:

    Have a nice day and don't work too hard.

      Starting to feel a bit better after having two awful weeks of being quite poorly and almost losing one of my dogs and my other dog having seizures. Today I’ve actually felt well enough and managed to get dressed and I’m now sat in my greenhouse. I absolutely love it in here. Makes me feel so much brighter.

        Hi,

        Thanks Victoria for your kind comments. :dbgrtmb::)

        Occasionally we do see glimpses of global warming here and even some sunshine; I don't mind sharing my cloud Blackie at all and anyone is welcome to him with my compliments; Blackie was here all day yesterday; he was putting down so much rain Bron and I had to turn around whilst half way to M&S in Pudsey because the water was running down the side of the road like a stream and there was a great deal of flooding across the road making it dangerous to carry on; today is forecast dry but Bron has just told me it's trying to rain.

        Good luck with your gardener; I hope the job isn't put off again; I'll try to keep Blackie here in fact if I start work in the gardens I'm sure Blackie won't want to leave me.

        Oh dear Snorky; I feel very sorry for you and also for your dogs; I sincerely hope things improve very quickly; it's no fun feeling ill; here's a hug and a card for you;

        I Hope You Get Well Soon.

        Kind regards, Colin.

                Thanks everyone. Back in the greenhouse today after dropping Bea off at davies specialists vets. MRI scans of neck head and spine and a spinal tap etc all under a general...pick her up at 4pm. :frown:

                In the greenhouse to keep occupied instead of pacing the house and thinking of the worst case scenarios.

                Just wondering what to do with these cuttings now? Theyve rooted and i have potted on and I’ve nipped them out a bit to make them bushier (a few salvias, penstemon, a forsythia cutting etc).

                Should i keep them in the heated greenhouse now through the winter or cold frame outside?

                      @Snorky85 hope it was good news about your dog. I would suggest putting the rooted cuttings outside somewhere sheltered. Otherwise they will probably make lots of watery growth in heated greenhouse.

                          Good news for woofer. Her MRIs were all normal-no deterioration or return of her previous discospondylosis (which we massively feared) and her brain stem and middle ear etc are all normal. Phew! Which means her very weird type of seizures are most likely a weird disease called Paroxymal diskenesia (has paralysis/wobbling from 30seconds to 30mins for no apparent reason) which doesnt affect her life span and is not painful. If it gets worse some types of medication can help. So the best outcome really. Her spinal tap and blood results will come in on Monday afternoon.

                          Managed to do a round of dead heading in the back garden yesterday whilst trying to keep occupied waiting for vets.

                          I’ll pop those cuttings in the cold frame outside then-thanks @CarolineL :)

                          Still feeling rough myself so going to do a quick potter in the garden (still in my dressing gown). Gardeners world tonight is a special about benefits of gardening on mental health-i will be looking forward to that. Gardening is the best medicine.
