@Snorky85 I hope you feel better soon.

I haven't done much as I ferried a friend to physio this morning. And if an appointment lasts for 1/2 an hour, you're about quadruple the time return trip.

I've taken one lid off of a cold frame so I can fix it and replace it this afternoon. Finally figured out where I put the rat traps so I can set them up again. The bird seed that is spilled attracts the so and so's. I trimmed down my one overwintering pepper plant, "Mikey" and put him in the indoor growing area with the rosemary plants. I hope he enjoys how nice it smells in there. :)

We're fairly lucky that the pigeons, crows, pheasants, squirrels and sparrows clear the fallen seed pretty well.

Well today the day I finally planted out the rest of the bulbs :hapfeet: Allium ambassador - caeruleum - stipitatium - nigrum - silver spring and 30 peppermint stick tulips. I did massacre another allium :doh:who on earth planted all these alliums :dunno::whistle: . Thinking about it I should of planted some foxgloves - sweet rocket and wallflowers out while I was out, it raining now again .

I’ve done nothing much today - just fished some leaves out of the pond, which was a pleasant, if cold 30-minute task...

Tidied a little in the greenhouse (it's freezing in there) and then brought 5 lbs of butter in from it to let soften on the counter for upcoming cookie baking. :)

Had phone call from hospital. My surgery has been moved forward from the 19th to tomorrow. I have to be at the hospital at 0700hrs. So nothing to eat or drink after midnigfht, just leaves me time for a quick tipple. Hic!

@Mike Allen I'm glad to hear you're getting this operation done. If it had been me getting my surgery updated to tomorrow, I'd be running around like a crazy person trying to get the things done that I had procrastinated and put off just in case I felt too poorly after it to get the place in shape for Christmas.

Hope this message finds you in recovery and having a nice little container of juice :)

Thanks Lori. Yes I/We arrived at guy's 0700hrs. I like the names for different areas of the hospital. Today I joined an already crowded, 'Surgical Lounge'. I was number three on my surgeons list. Time ticked by and then close to 1100 I entered the prep room. I have no track of time but, 12.20 and I was in recovery. My surgeon Mr. Rayjas Nair came in smiling as always. Mike how are you? Everything is looking good in there.

My next appointment is July 2020. His report stated that no further cancer tumours were found, that he'd removed the ureter stent and looked into the kidney. All clear.

Thanks to the internet, I have been able to read up on my urologist and my cardiologist Prof. John Chambers. I am so thankful to have two of the top men in the country looking after me.

I have to add. I have nothing but praise and admiration for all, doctors and nurses at Guy's. It is one of London's great teaching hospitals. Despite all that we hear and read about the NHS. Everyone greets you with a smile, nothing is too much trouble. I certainly appreciate so, so much their care and loving treatment.

This gave me such a hug to read...
My dad, a GP of 30+ years’ standing, trained at Guys Hospital in the late 1950s. It’s lovely to read that they are holding fast to the reputation and core values, even after all this time:yay:

Sian, thanks for your comment. YES! there certainly is something special about Guy's. Of course much of the building is new. Outside is the Shard. London Bridge station has been bought upto date at long last. Now I step off the train and a short walk through the station and wowee I'm in the hospital.

Unlike my local hospital, where you see one doctor and are then put on a list for a future appointment. At Guy's it's much of a. Well you are here now, so let's get you sorted. The nursing staff. Most of the staff are from ethnic minorities. I really do love them. They are all so happy and chatty. Truly I am so delighted to be amongst them. Even staff doing the most mundane of jobs. I have never heard a single word such as. I've had enough of this job etc.

Go into a high street shop and you wil soon hear a member of staff sounding off.

I hope your dad enjoyed his lifetime in the medical service. I read medicine for three years but it wasn't the same. Thank you so much for sharing your comment.

Glad all is well @Mike Allen and hope you can have a worry free Christmas.

Not done much gardening lately, but have been doing a lot of feeding the birds. Had two woodpeckers on the big tree in the front garden today - beautiful!
