All I did was trim some of the straggly little branches on my rosemary plants. I was trying to duplicate pretty little rosemary plants that I'd seen that looked like Christmas trees and are about 16" tall. They are $17 at the store and I thought I could get away with growing my own for less. Theirs looked like proper little yule trees, mine look more like the Charlie Brown version.. Oh well, they do smell nice. :)

@Snorky85 the birds are enjoying my feeder too. Today's high so far is 23f and I'm sure it's made life miserable for them. At least easy dinner might ease their daily chores.

We've been potting up a lot of the bulbs that we decided we weren't going to buy. :rolleyespink: They've been turning up by the hundred so I guess Mrs Shiney must have pressed the wrong button on the computer. I had to go out and buy another 3 x 70 litre bags of compost!

Past couple of days, I've been potting various bulbs and corms, especially Iris, in the GH. Garden is far too sodden to walk on, let alone attempt to plant.

I have just come in from the garden. It has at last stopped raining here and it is surprisenly mild, just my kind of gardeneing temperature. I potted up five roses to 15Ltr pots. The two Lavinia that arrived yesterday from, Primrose. aka.Meika Ltd. Bit on the thin side, being ony two yrs old, plenty of buds though. Also potted the three roses from Peter Beales. These really do look good. Strong growth and buds. I find it strange and must admit, I am perhaps a little afraid that the weather variation is playing havock with plants, and so many new seasons buds are IMO growing too fast and on some of my roses, buds are already opening, let's hope for a mild winter.

Just been out and hacked the buddelia back quite a bit lower than usual it been getting far to tall the past couple of years. Planted out foxgloves and wallflowers yesterday, were going to plant out some forget me nots which are in the GH but its started lashing it down again.

                The rain finally stopped today!

After getting a first good crop of apples from my tree this September, since I pruned it right back to the trunk 3 years ago, it was obvious that I'd let it grow too tall. So back to the drawing board, and this time I'll make sure to train it with a lot more spreading branches.

And then of course there was wood left over. And I realised I still had a pile of logs to sort out from 2 years ago when we got the fence done. So a happy 2-3 hours with the saw, and most of those trunks and branches are now firewood-sized and stacked to dry out.

Well done with bulbs, folks. I really should do some in the front garden, but I haven't decided where they'd go yet.

On a request of The Teenager, pruned some Ivy and some branches of the Itching Conifer for this:

The base is a circular plant support. Well done, Teenager :)

Lovely wreath @Selleri - looks a lot better than the synthetic ones. And I like the way you've used the ivy flower heads too.

Pruned the fruit bushes, now to weed around them.

Well the fires around the stump of the laurel didn't burn it away (barely touched it) so today Ive started digging it out. Currently about 1 foot down and getting under the root but it isn't rocking yet.

Time for a break and a bite to eat, then back on it
