Seaweed as a base treatment! New idea for me. I look forward to hearing how it all goes :)

I like seaweed, the stuff I used last year was ok but did not cover that much. Normally a small amount of seaweed is included in feeds I use but it works out cheaper to have this one rather than the Empathy stuff I tried last year as a concentrated liquid.
I need a lower output nozzle at 1 bar as the calculations for my setup are a bit on the heavy side even with a quick walking pace. No harm done but I’m wasting the product as I’m applying that bit too much. Gives the turf a nice colour too.

As soon as this thunderstorm has passed, I'm going back out to get some more weeding done. Why is it that grass has no problems growing where I don't want it but... :gaah: but I'd rather have weeding to do than no garden :)

A seaweed fan here too liz the pot :)
Living near the coast I used to gather tons of the stuff. Tighter rules and limited access make it more difficult now. Wonderful for mulching, soil conditioning and for deterring slugs etc
Your knowledge about lawns, feeds and treatments far exceeds my own:)

Sitting in the garden with the dogs around my feet seems like a good idea? But Carol will probably have other plans for me!

                Another glorious day

Cut my niece’s lawn as I passed by earlier and dropped off a container full of white sunpatiens.

Picked more blueberries, etc......As I said before I’ve not netted this year and simply gone out to pick the ripe fruit on a daily basis. Seems to work...so far anyway :) I always do this with black currants too.

Potted up a plant delivery from Ballyroberts on my return. Excellent quality, only half litre, but fully expect them to fill 2 litre pots at least by mid August :)

Need to take some photos....sanguisorbas and persicarias are now flowering:) need to do some watering first

6E49573D-4725-4C55-B61A-1B60184F1FF6.jpeg New fertiliser arrived which I wanted to try. A real thick liquid that’s green in colour. Applied it and can see a colour change even after the previous days spray.
My companion then commented it’s the wrong shade of green!
Will see what it’s like in a weeks time.

Wasn't me planting all those Wallflowers @Verdun think you meant Logan.
If I'm honest ( which I am of course :)) I'm not that keen on them but I always have them for early spring colour. I have sown a couple of trays...so prop about 50 ish, that's enough for me.:dbgrtmb:
Thanks for the info, not had stocks but will definitely give them ago.

Upsy, I am confused. Where am I? :rasp:

Of course it is Logan....the wallflower supremo :)

Seeing my brother in hospital this morning and talking to medics about his prognosis. An alcoholic now paying a severe price for his life time drinking....very, very sad

Won’t be time for gardening today but it is another glorious day :)

I think my wallflower has run its course. I have no complaints. It grew big very quickly and has been in constant bloom. I don't think I'll be buying anymore.

Deadheading and tidying up of the borders today. Sadly some of the roses in the one border have been hit very hard with rust. As a result, I've had to hard prune back 3, to literally the bare bones. :frown:
I think the culprit which starts the rust problem is my DA Standard Crocus rose. It's had rust issues ever since we've had it and is central to the border where I'm having the problem with the others. DA Emily Bronte seems to be doing ok with not too much of a problem, but Lady of Shallot and Benjamin Britten have had to be hard pruned.

I'll give the Crocus Standard one more go, but if it happens again next year it'll be out.

We got back from a fortnight holiday yesterday so today has been mostly taking stock of what has changed and what needs attention. Lots of pruning and deadheading in order over the next few days!
