Its been a Hot day today.
Been busy all day , planted up baskets and pots / troughs all morning . Walked down to the GC down the road very pricey but picked up some trailing begonia for the baskets . Planted my cucumber and melons ( tomatoes yesterday ) in the GH . Emptied the barrels and large pots , put the bulbs I want to keep in pots and stuffed them round the back of the shed to dry out before storage . The robins have been following me around all afternoon , me at one end of the wheelbarrow robin at the other end ( cheeky sod ) then they are in the barrel having a rummage around . And of course more watering .

I finally got around making the garden borderline good looking from afar.
This mainly involved several trips with the wheelbarrow to the bottom raking pots, tools, bits of materials, cardboard and all the other stuff which make my gardening attempts look like an abandoned construction site.
I just need to give the furniture and trampoline a good wash tomorrow and it should become fully family friendly.
The next steps would be self-watering pots, a trellis and other bits and bobs.
Also, fixing a sofa in the back, sort of mini living room on woodchips :D. The result will look absolutely awful and tacky, but the temperature over there is normally 5 degrees lower on a sunny day, so a very good spot to enjoy a drink and have a chat under the trees on very warm days.
Also, I am tempted to create a mini pond in a corner of the garden.. But frankly I am worried about mosquitoes and attracting the wrong kind of wildlife. We had some badger, toad and hedgehog visiting over the last years, and I would love to have them back. Mice and slugs not so much.
The plants are growing and look happy, mostly.

The strawberries are huge but not necessarily as tasty as other years..
Tomorrow I will start with molasses and aspirine for all plants, let's see if the berries get better.

This is an unnamed Iris that started off black in colour but is now changing as the days go by.....

Yesterday sowed some more wallflowers and did a lot of watering as usual, not going to have any rain this coming week. Will run out of rain water for the blueberries soon that's unusual for this time of year, but they'll be alright on tap water, had to do that last year.

@ARMANDII I think that you're putting your lovely flowers in the wrong thread my dear friend, they should be in the What's looking good thread. :)

Thanks, Logan:love30:, but I actually put both sets of images into both threads. I put it into this thread to show what is happening in the garden and not just as flower images as not all people look in the "What's looking good" Thread:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee: I haven't had time to put this particular set of images into the "what's looking good" thread, but will later today.
