@CanadianLori Hey Lori, one question. How tall do jalapeno normally grow?
Time has come to move them to the mini greenhouse, so I was trying to figure out if they will fit.

I haven't grown them for years but I believe mine got about 3 feet high.

Here. Are some of my peppers today. And this is a weird year. Shorter than usual. The greenhouse polycarbonate panels have 2ft "channels/indentations" IMG_20200708_191533.jpg IMG_20200708_191609.jpg IMG_20200708_191622.jpg so that will give you a reference for dimensions.

The garden is basically running itself as it does at this time of year but, on getting back from work, I've been doing a bit of refurbishing some large pots and some large shallow Alpine pots with renewed planting..........

While my two 1000 litre compost bins seem to be getting slightly full.....

Started to tidy up the greenhouse as I was desperately missing a few gardening tools ,but thankfully found them all pretty quickly so diverted my attention to sowing some seeds......the greenhouse can wait!!:heehee:

Started the lawn irrigation system. It is now 100f and I worked too hard on tne lawn to let a long drought take me back to square one. It is high pressure and there are several zones each getting their several minutes of water. There are a couple of heads that I need to adjust so far and I'll take care of that after the first cycle has completed.

Got the screwdriver and adjustomatic (rubber mallet) ready to do that.

When I got back from the Fishing Holiday I saw that the long Bird Feeder needed a good clean and there were seed shoots pushing out of the feeding holes so I took it apart this evening and gave it a good clean, and it's now refilled back on the Feeding post.:hapydancsmil:

With a bit of luck the greenhouse roof will be fixed today. The guttering on one side needs to be removed (permanently) and two 20ft lengths of timber fitted. I don't know whether the lengths will be done in sections or not . Then the new glass needs fitting (5ft x 2.5ft) and all the other panes made secure. All this has to be done by squeezing by the rose bed alongside. :rolleyespink: :fingers crossed:

Yesterday picked a lot of white currants because of the black birds eating them, they had a lot of the pink currants and now the wasps are after the gooseberries so been picking them. I've picked a lot of both of them already, left a few for them.

Trying to do all those jobs I've not felt like doing for the past couple of weeks.
Or at least some of them.

Plenty I could be doing but after the first week back at work for a while I've felt to tired to do much. I've put a weather proof double socket up for some lighting and a water feature but now I've tried out the water feature, listening to the running water i just feel like going asleep:heehee: that's me done for the day I think. 20200711_143744.jpg

This morning, before breakfast, I fed the 80-odd chilli plants, the 10 or so tomato plants, the rows of peas and beans, the pots next to the house, and some of the larger perennial plants in the drive bed.

Starting so well, but since breakfast I’ve only managed to finish turning the last of the compost bays (hubby saw his first slow worm, in the process:yay:), and sowed som nigella seeds in some new beds, where hopefully they will establish.

                                well, it is the weekend!!
