Mowed another back lawn this afternoon and then did another two hours pressure hosing. :phew:

Mrs Shiney said :nonofinger: but then gave me a back massage. :blue thumb: :)

I like Sweetpeas, but not to the extent that I grow them every year. But maybe because I keep driving past the sign "Wem - Home of the Sweetpea" whenever I drive to Wem to visit my sister:dunno:, I've bought seeds for Sweetpea "Juliet"

I've got a Perpetual Sweetpea which flowers every year on the Trellis Entrance to the garden which mixes with Honeysuckle, Clematis, and Roses but I thought maybe an additional mix would look fine there as well as on Canes in the borders. I've bought a pack of Root Trainers and will use them as well as ordinary pots to compare how well they grow.:dunno::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

I love sweetpeas, especially the scent (I love the scent of blooms on the air, hence my love of brugs as well) but I have never, ever, been able to grow them. No idea what I do wrong - they germinate fine, but then basically keel over and die soon after.

Oddly enough, I failed to grow nasturtiums this year - I mean, nasturtiums... they basically grow themselves, yet I failed with them.

Think I need to take myself into a darkened room and have a stern word in my ear.

They did really well for me @ARMANDII, hope you get similar results! This heirloom mix was even better, best I've grown... wish I had photos to share, they were amazing considering they were grown in containers.

Usual cleaning out of hog feeding box . Added some used bunny hay to the grass clippings pile in the old bun run and stuffed more into compost bins. Picked green tomatoes off plant and then chucked the plant in the grass heap too.

Can someone tell me what this is all about?

Thanks, Nick:love30::thumbsup:, I'm hoping that they'll do well next year and that we get a good Summer to help them along. I won't be sowing them until November and then I'll find a reasonable spot in the Green House for them to over Winter.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

I was already sitting there, he climbed up and sprawled himself across me. Uninvited I might add.

Rained first thing this morning so I settled myself in the greenhouse and sowed some Sweet Peas. I didn't grow any this year and really missed them!

Having a coffee break then back out to do a quick assessment of where there could be some bulbs lurking that require lifting.:coffee:

Me neither, and I have lots of different seeds including mini shrub and black ones I did a few years ago.

Dug up the rest of the michaelmas daisies and put the roots at the back of a border, have to stay there until the bin is emptied on Friday but there's 3 large bags of garden waste to put in first. Now there's holes where the roots were.
