Finishing off what wasn't finished yesterday. Then fixing fence, followed by repotting, sowing seed and watering.

                  Hello all

I hope you are all well.

Well, procrastinating has been put on hold, for now :)

In the garden I have extended the main supply hose for the Drip Irrigation, still a work in progress, so I will be able to water the plants at the back of a wide border.

I am hoping to complete, well, start, adding the Drippers in the next month or so as I stretched myself somewhat, financially not physically, with the new Patio and Paving so the Drip Irrigation has been on hold.

I have also been doing more weeding, grass growing in the borders mostly which is really annoying.

I have also moved a young Ceanothus which was in the wrong place, only by a small amount but still, so hopefully that will be fine, when I dug it out it basically came out in the shape of its original pot from last September when it was originally planted so did not have any issues with any large roots.

I will keep it well watered and hopefully it will recover fine.

Well, that is me for today, mostly, now back to procrastinating :)

                  Thanks

                  Kevin

I've started the mowing but having a cuppa now. Later on I'll list the differences between the new and the old mowers. So far, some good and some not so good. I think the not so good are things that I shall adjust to fairly easily.

I wandered round the garden before getting the mower out and have spotted six new birds' nests. Three blackbirds, at least one with babies, two robins and one wren. The three regular woodpecker nests are still going (fourth one is no more ).

Of course, my break from mowing is to give the birds a break.

Mowed the lawn - not as easy as that sounds - as I have to get down on my hands and knees to cut around the stems of my new laurel hedge. I have one of those battery hand trimmers.

Filled up the pond - cleaned out and refilled the solar fountain - watered a few bits and bobs (using water from the butts) - but mostly bimbling.

Will have a bimble around the front garden tomorrow - may even find enough time to pull up a couple of weeds.

I've come indoors from having slightly overdone the mowing. I normally limit myself to just one tank of petrol used. It has always been a good yardstick to judge when to stop. I shall have to work out another method for this new mower. I ran out of energy before the tank ran out. :phew:

But I got this lot done:-

Getting back into the watering routine - can't believe it was only a month ago I was bemoaning how wet everything was, half my pots were bone dry this afternoon . Also touched up the paint on the wooden edging round the beds and restained the bench, so between that and the freshly mown lawn everything is looking satisfactorily neat and spruced this evening
