My raspberries have been fantastic this year, but they'd more or less finished so I've cut back all the spent stems and tied in all the new growth to tidy them. They've also had a top dressing of chicken manure pellets and a good soaking...job done

What variety are you growing Bilbo? We are picking a glut of "Tulameen" at our nearby PYO. They are phenomenal!! And taste divine too,

Cut the grass, did some weeding, watered the cucumbers and tomatoes early doors, then gave the tomatoes a splash again this evening, and I treated myself to a new sprinkler whilst at the man-cave (also known as the local independent hardware shop) - I let it take the strain of watering the borders this evening, whilst I watched from a distance with the first Bacardi of the evening. :)

EDIT - and I spent ages this afternoon faffing about with the polytunnel which has busted zips to add to its problems; in short, I think its knackered. :(

T'other half and I went out on an island mystery tour for a few hours today and when I got back the garden looked like a whirlwind had gone through it. Everything had keeled over through lack of water, I couldn't believe how quickly it happened. They're all refreshed now having had a good drink. :)

Rain this morning and high winds have stopped me from working in the garden but I have been out and collected some seed heads, those including Lupins. With those in mind, on a whim I've just ordered some seeds for 'White Gallery' Lupins for next year. :)

Cut the lawn, and went to the garden centre and bought a Cornus and a photina red robin.
