Al n your garden is soon going to resemble Armandii's, you have bought so many plants recently. :heehee: Not that I've got a problem with that. ;)

I just can't help myself. Save a bit, spend a bit! It did need them though. Still got a few more on my list too :blue thumb:

Did a little bit in the garden but it was much too hot. Trimmed some lawn edges, picked lots of beans, a few courgettes, some glden plums and some blackberries. The golden plums are fabulous :dbgrtmb:. Apart from that, I moved the sprinkler around a bit and sat in the shade with guests.

Flogged up to Swaffham, Norfolk on Saturday to the Exotic Plant Sale and bought a few things, raced back to pick up my Mother for lunch who was foul such that I wished I hadn't bothered and had some spent the extra time instead exploring the parts that I had not had time to see ...

Flogged back to Norfolk on Sunday to see East Ruston Old Vicarage (seemed hugely overgrown this year, Verbena bodnatensis rampant everywhere and 5' - 6' tall! no doubt a side effect of the wet-growing-season, and some Equisetum Hyemale looked like it had escaped [from a pond?] and run amock in the entrance path), and then to Kevin Scales exotic garden open under NGS nearby - he's a good salesman and relieved me of most of the contents of my wallet!

Kevin's exotic garden is only 2.5 years old, and already looking like its always been there, which pleased my wife as our reason for creating a "Jungle" was to have a part of the garden ready quickly, without having to wait 10 years for hedges to grow, then plant the "rooms", then wait for them to mature ...
