Absolutely nothing achieved here today. Gale force winds and a two hour downpour, the annuals are looking very sad now.

A bit overdue, but needing doing I cut back my strawberries and cleared away the straw, put some chicken manure pellets down and give them a good soaking. One more year for these plants I think and I'll replace them..:)

Did quite a lot of weeding, almost a wheelie bin full :rolleyespink:, had an hour's break to ease my back, spent an hour picking beans and then did three hours pressure hosing. This morning I'm waiting until 8 a.m. before I start mowing the front lawns and hope to finish by 9 a.m. before people start turning up.

Very overcast here ,supposed to get better later so will try and stake my 7ft verbascum as I want the seeds, and as my front lawn drains very quickly might be able to get mower over it.

Just come in from the garden. Mowed the front lawns, part of the back, swept the patio and put a sprinkler on the veggies.

      77F and rising!
