                Went to visit Aunt today
Her gardener is off sick, so I dead headed sixty rose bushes, and weeded two terraces for her
Whilst Julie and her happily sat discussing death and documents over a pot of tea

Got home and picked my two ripe tomatoes, a small and only cucumber, plus a bit of green leaf, made a nice couple of prawn mayonaise rolls, for my tea

Sal, what beautiful kittens (aren't they all :)) and a lovely cat home :dbgrtmb:

I got all the front lawns and some back ones done by 9.15 a.m. By then it was getting quite warm. Bean picking and moving the sprinkler around the garden were the only other things I did around the garden - apart rrom fill the bird feeders and the drinking/bathing bowls.

Started to clear the night scented Stocks and Japanese Anenomes at last. From looking like this...................

                .............to this.................

                DSC_3058.jpg

Far from the finished article at the moment, but I took extreme care to remove all roots and dug in plenty of fresh compost from the bin.Got several plants lined up to go in next spring assuming they germinate.

Another wee spot stripped of the Stocks as well.................

                DSC_3063.jpg

The wire is criss-crossed across it as I've planted it full of Dwarf Iris and Nectardoscarum bulbs and would prefer that my cats leave 'em alone!

Nett result of my days efforts are three bags like this to go to the dump tomorrow............

Cut the lawn again, weeded and edged the borders.

Re seeded some of the bare patches due to dog wee, and miraculously, Late this afternoon, I found a musa bajoo just growing in my border, how it got there, gawd only knows!!!! it musta smuggled itself in the box of grass seed from the garden centre :snork:

Mowed the back lawns. Decided then to cut the hedge that encroaches from next door. When I finally got it cut back and cleared the weeds and area I've actually gained a 2m x 3m area. Problem now is it bext to the area I have my veg patch which is 4 foot square. So do I know put a greenhouse up or make 2 new raised beds at 2m x 1.2m and I can then do away with the pots that I have used this year (without a great deal of success). Any thoughts?
