    Was lovely and green and few weeks ago but always needed scarifying. Around the begining of August for the last few years browns patches appear and they do my head in! :wallbanging:
    Dont know why think its a annual grass in there somewhere that dies off some how!

    Cut the back lawn and collected some seeds. Had my little helper with me today again so I gave him his own bag and told him we would see who got the most. He came back about 2 minutes later with the bag full of stones. He was declared the winner :dbgrtmb:

      Will cut the lawn later ,hope the growth slows down, as will be in Norfolk for a couple of weeks, and don`t want to come back to a hay field,especially as cordless strimmer died last week,so will be looking for a corded replacement.

      Yes, Pam, we have the water police keeping an eye on us :heehee:.

      Apart from the dozens of big pots and hanging baskets, we have well over a thousand seedlings, cuttings and first or second year babies to water. During the warmer weather it's a good hour watering and sometimes twice a day. Then, of course, there's all the veggies. :)

      Well me and the little one finished butchering (scarifying) the lawn yesterday evening. Resembles a farmers field now :snork: .

        You've done a good job there :dbgrtmb:. It'll need a lot of watering.

        I've done mowing, edging, cutting back a giant willow, (picking beans - of course), cut Mrs Shiney's hair (in the garden), put the sprinkler on the veggies and will need to put it on one of the beds in the front later (which is rock hard and cracking up) and a bit more pressure hosing.

            Tonight I'm having a much needed night off and heading to the tennis club!

            Spend all weekend 7am-6pm on Saturday and 8am-late on Sunday hacking, bagging, clearing, tip tripping... mowed and edged last night. At some point this week/weekend need to do one more trip to the refuse site to clear the old wood at the bottom of the garden and apply the decking stain.

            Then will sit down (with a nice cold beer as brilliantly suggested on here) and get planning! Roll on the weekend!
