Mine are getting Tomato Food, now they are in flower. What do you/folk think about Miracle Grow vs. Tomato Fertiliser for flowering plants, like Cannas?

Dahlias? Same [as Cannas] or different?

I use both, Kristen, for the Cannas and Dahlias, feeding Tomato Feed one week and Miracle Grow the next, while watering in between to keep them happy.:coffee:

You've reminded me I've not given the roses any tomato feed for a while, so am off to do that now :blue thumb:

I wish you wouldn't say things that are obvious as that, I find it very embarrassing ... :(

I do that from June [from next year :heehee:]

We only feed pot plants and then it's with whatever is handy - our stock of feed depends on what's on special offer at the time. Not sure that's much of a scientific approach

Today was "harvesting" rather than gardening (but it could also be described as "thinning out")

Here were the ingredients I shopped for in my garden today for our roast (the eggs were for the Yorkshire pudding and tomorrow's breakfast). I had to go back to get some more carrots because there wasn't enough in my box to satisfy 3 hungry males :heehee:

          Thanks :)

All went very well - suffice to say I was pleased when he said that the house looked really "lovely and homely" and that the garden looked "fantastic" all topped off with a "I wish all my tenants were like you, really looking after the place"

Rent went up a bit (as it does), however that came with a two year lease extension and guarantee of no further increases - apparently, they want us to stay on for a while yet! All in all, we're content and feel a wee bir more secure.

That's really good news, FC, I'm really pleased for you. Landlords always take every opportunity to raise the rent, I'm afraid, but I hope it wasn't too much.:snork:

£50 a month, which works out at roughly 5% - I've effectively wiped it out with the saving on our TV package at the weekend anyway, so its all good. :)

How weird - I've just had an email showing a response to this thread by Mum, yet the response isn't here???

Something funny going on methinks, as I was certain that I had pressed the Post Reply button earlier on Zigs birthday thread, yet the post never appeared on the thread?

Pop a post in the "forum bugs" thread ;)

However, for this particular thread (can't speak for the Zigs thread), I *did* post a response, but then deleted it as is contained TMI (too much information) and had the potential to take the thread off topic  My apologies for being too intense on the keyboard and putting mouth in gear before brain!
