Oh yes please, if you could let us know what you are going to plant in it that would be nice

I want one now. Please give it a loving stroke from me too :snork:

merle, the "plan" is to plant it with herbs and salad stuff because it's final resting place will be near the BBQ area. The thought process being I can just extend my arm, nip a bit of this and a bit of that while cooking the meal; maybe toss some herbs on the hot coals in the process for an aromatic smoking to add a delicate hint of exotic ... :heehee:

I shall indeed give it an extra stroke from merleworld :dbgrtmb:

That sounds great :dbgrtmb: but I'd wait a few months before planting them :heehee:

Well that is the plan Shiney :-) buy whilst available 4 for 3
Suspicious of the date packed, year ending June 2013 plant before end of 2014 ?

Blotting paper was to dry tomato seeds, but I do not know where I picked that idea up from, as most say pat dry and leave on a ceramic dish to dry

On topic nothing done today torrential rain and gales, main fence broken :-(
        Due to neighbour
It was open rail and pale, only they decided to screw corrugated plastic panels to their side of it as a wind break, so it just acts like a big sail, (I used rail and pale due to the very strong westerly gales we get)

I was exactly thinking of you Jack and all the other members that live in the north east where the weather is very bad at the moment. Fingers crossed let's hope you will get no floods.:blue thumb:

I've been trying my best to put up a small basic fence to seperate our boys mini playground from the rest of the garden. I've got the fence up and just started making the gate today but alas it started raining again, its a job I think I could have had done in a day but I started it Saturday, got rained off Sunday afternoon and all yesterday and again this afternoon :frown: .

It is bringing Autumn in at an alarming pace. Such extreme weather : too dry then too wet. A week ago the trees still looked relatively green but I think their Autumn colours will follow shortly.

Autumn started here a month ago and I think it's going to make for a long winter as well. Just what we need after a lousy summer.

In between showers and while the patio wasn't soggy, I nipped into next door neighbours garden to pick some flat leaf parsley (with permission) to go in the Leek and Potato soup that I'm making. Also tipped rain water AGAIN out of a large green tray
containing young plant sprogs due for bedding out in November. Tipping it down again as I type,
            Jenny

A beautiful sunny dry day, so after all the rain yesterday and Monday I used the opportunity to oust a load more bedding. The lawn was still too wet to carry on digging my new bed. :)

If it dries up for the weekend, a lot of perennials and their seed heads are destined for decapitation. I think it's time to say goodbye to the summer bedding in the troughs too,
