Did a couple of hours digging before going off to my grand daughter's birthday party............that didn't happen. Other half and I just arrived and my 6 year old grandson was walking towards me crying, he'd been playing out with a friend.

Our little lad is now in hospital having broken both bones in his wrist. He's being operated on tomorrow morning to have it wired together.

Will do Armandii. He has a temporary plaster on until the morning and they hope to release him later in the day. When he cottons on, he's going to have a whale of a time showing it off at school. :) Not much work will be done though, it's his writing hand.

Hope he recovers well Sheal; when I was at school the teachers didn't let things like that stop you writing, they'd have you writing with your other hand even if you couldn't read it :heehee:

Jack, they have early October hols up there, our children aren't off for their October break until the last week of the month...:)

Thanks all for your thoughts regardening my little fella. :)

Had his operation this morning but they didn't need to wire him, two clean breaks. He's now plastered from his hand to the top of his arm, but 'comfortable' as they say. He won't be released today, so I'll be visiting later.

Jack, no they are not on half term here, as Bilbo says, it will be the end of the month. :)

I managed to get some more digging of my new rose bed done today, I'll finish tomorrow and then go looking for horse manure.

Managed to get 4 trays of wallflowers in. Didn't dig the dahlias up yet they are flowering there heads off at the moment.
Cleaned out the greenhouse. Watered the cannas in there new shoots coming on nicely.
Still didn't dig up the geraniums and begonias up in the front garden, still looking ok. Will do next weekend though!
Sheal have you signed his pot yet?
                    Hope all goes well

Do you mean his plaster Mowgley? No there was no point, they are putting a new one on before he's released in the morning, that'll be the third. This one I'm told may have a camouflage pattern. :)

Spent three hours on Saturday morning with Mrs W working on rennovation of local 'community garden'. Returned home half knackered to cut one of our lawns then picked a few pears and snipped off a cutting with leaves to send to national fruit collection to see if they can provide an ID.
Today cut down last of broad beans, removed enviromesh from sprouts and covered them with anti-pigeon net. Dug up big carrot. Picked more pears and cooked some to add to porridge next couple of days. Spoke gently to tomatoes in polytunnel to encourage them to continue to ripen.
Swore at the wretched chat that has chat on the lawn I cut yesterday!!

It took Mrs W and me 3 hours just to clear this little corner of brambles and bindweed in the community garden -
