I removed six bags of soil from the GH border, and replaced with well rotted manure
Set up my decorators table as a bench down the East side and placed plants on it
I then with the last two feet set up my potting table
I moved bags of potting compost and orgainic compost into the GH for ready use

GH I believe complete for now bubble wrap, long bench with plants, potting table and the side borders dug out and replaced with well rotted Manure
Next my summer veg border tomorrow maybe or a day off

Jack, sounds as though you're doing a good job. You should hire yourself out to the neighbours :heehee:

This is the time of year that, apart from tidying flower beds and cutting back plants, we seem to spend forever clearing leaves. I cleared seven barrow loads and the barrow takes 9 cu ft :hate-shocked:. I don't do raking so it was all mowing - which chops the leaves and they rot down much quicker.

Today I planted 250 daffodil bulbs on the bank of public land near the railway, which should look great in the Spring. In the afternoon I was spreading Achillea seeds on a field I volunteer in, trying to make it a bit more wildflowerish :)

Cleared more plants out of borders and pots and put all the tenders in the cold frame. I've still got a lot to do over the weekend, I was unable to do much last week when I was on holiday due to my wife being ill and I had to look after my son. She's back on her feet now so hopefully I can get a lot sorted at the weekend.

I managed to find time to pull the Pump out of the pond and rewire the Pond Heater into the power supply and then drop it into the pond ready for any really cold weather. Then while I was there I cut back the dead foliage in the Bog Garden, did a tidy up and then went for a cup of tea.:snork:

I hope to plant my tulips and start extending the border. If it doesn't rain. In which case I shall make chutney

My daughter built a balsa wood bridge at a university open day last year, and hers took the heaviest load (70kg or something like that), so if you need a hand with your bridge Shiney I'll send her over :heehee:

Trimmed back my Buddleia Davidii before the winds really got going (forecast this morning was suggesting fairly stern winds this afternoon and tonight), cleared the cuttings away then hosed off the patio before the rain came on and spoiled play.

I took that as my cue to head indoors, and decided to fix the washing machine, so all was not lost.

Kristen, I'll bear that in mind when I make my Japanese/Chinese garden. I was thinking of something like this:-

OK. We'll fix Protocol at the same time then, that English Rose dressed in a Kimono has the wrong length sleeves :nonofinger: - presumably that photo wasn't taken in Japan (doubt there would be weeping willows in a Japanese garden, in Japan).
