Cleared the beans away from the veg patch, cleaned the canes and put them away for next year. Also weeded the veg patch and dug it over a little, just need to get some horse manure from my local supplier to throw on it and let the winter and worms do the rest :)

Not just you with a leaf problem Loli :heehee:, at this time of year I get a plentiful supply of leaves too, from a garden that I work at once a week, I bag up all the leaves that I rake up and the owner brings them round in his van for me when they've finished dropping :dbgrtmb: Last year I ended up with about 20 bin bags full and a couple of huge sacks full....:autlvs:

Moved all the pots into the greenhouse.
Raked loads of leaves into a big pile ready for bagging up tomorrow.
Got another 20 daffodils to plant.

        Mulched up certain bedding plants.
Executed another patch of Crocosmia and pulled several hundred (that's what it seemed like anyway) Forget me Not and primrose seedlings (how can they germinate and grow in this cold?!).
Lifted the pots of iffy (hardiness wise) Tricyrtis and put 'em in the shed.
Pricked out the first of the Galtonia seedlings.

Yesterday I said 'rain rain go away come again another day' and it did it came back today - so no gardening today. Think I'll just plan for the next fine day - so what can I do in March?

Had a very productive day today.

Firstly, dug up the 4 ensette murellii and they are now drying upside down in the garage ready for the winter.

Dragged my large Diksonia, my cyathea Australis and the Washingtonia in the garage, had a minus last night, so not taking any chances. Also fleeced my large yukka and the chammy and wrapped the pots with bubble wrap, deffo not taking any chances with these and they're too big to go in the garage.

Dug up the dahlias in the border, put them in the garage.
Dug up the coleus, and the summer bedding, weeded the borders, cut the lawn for the last time and cleaned the decking again.

The front garden is getting the start of the makeover tomorrow, so hopefully, weather permitting, it'll all be done in just over a week.

Put the last of the wallflowers in the border, decided the Linaria "Canon Went" deserved to be in a prestigous spot 'cos I love it so it's by the garden gate where a dead Rhodi was excavated a few weeks ago. It will be happy to share the area with the Cranesbill "Anne Folkhard" next Summer. The Rhodi couldn't cope with being buried for most of the time. Potted up some Oxalis "Cupido", washed pots and drip trays - no longer needed this Winter- ready for garage storage.Found some more Salvia seeds for seedswap.

This little project hasn't turned out as I had planned. I dropped and broke the original pot that I was going to use in the top, and couldn't replace it. I had to buy two more pots, and sadly the profile wasn't the same as the first two. I still have more sanding to do to it, but it is getting there.

I also had a quick play with one of the hollow logs that I pulled from the bonfire pile.
