I think the saying was going well before "Snagglepuss", Shiney, but well done for tracking it down:thumbsup::snork:

First thing this morning I had an amble around the garden just to check on things and all was well until I reached the Green House. The door had been blown off during the night and was lying on the concrete path leading to the Green House. The large bottom pane of glass was still in the door, while the middle smaller pane was partially dislodged but still held by a couple of clips, and the top large pane was lying on the edge of the path and also into the centre path........unbroken.:hapydancsmil: Some of the retaining clips had sprung off and vanished into the undergrowth but I keep a bag of them in the garage so I was able to fix the glass back easily. I've got a feeling that the door came off at an angle and landed partially on the Herbs that grow either side of the path to the Green House, but I was lucky the top pane didn't break when it popped out of the door frame.:coffee:

That was a lucky 'not' break :heehee:.

I think the original expression came form an early 1940's film (can't remember the name) but was made popular by Snagglepuss who was always saying it. :)

I've just done a load of raking thousands of branches from the our willow tree. Mrs Shiney is picking them up now. :blue thumb:

Got the sludge lorry man coming in an hour to empty the cess pit :hate-shocked: then I'll go back out and clean up.

Although you've lost your door, that was a lucky escape Armandii. Strange though, we were only talking about it yesterday.

Dug over a bed, squelch squelch, working off boards, dug in 2 barrows off compost, split some Dicentra and planted them all back along with the Rudbeckia which I split the other day after transplanting a holly tree out of a big pot. The bed looks great now, Robins love it which is more than can be said for my appearance, the bath tub beckons!
