Mowed front and back grass, planted out some Rudbeckia, tied the tomatoes up, looked at the huge pile of hardcore i have got to shift and managed to stand on the rake. Yes it did hurt and i hope my neighbors didn't see it. I was very brave and there were no tears!

A couple of pics. I need to get this grass out as it's getting bigger and I don't want it to start pushing against the waterfall bit and the lining... We just need to get the bigger stones at the back lifted to tuck the lining under there, then it's plant-buying and watching the baby frogs emerge! :) ImageUploadedByTapatalk1373309994.334784.jpg

Just got in from doing all my watering.
Had to clear all the patio areas as Tuesday the landlord has men coming in to completely renew all the guttering all around the bungalow. Also the gardener comes to cut the lawn, my dog is just going to ballistic with all these people round the place.:doggieshmooze:

Even watering doesn't help here in 35c weather. Here is the edge of the river property in April after the rains ...

... and here is a photo of the same area (on the left) taken yesterday ... it's all on irrigation ...

Hi Ellen ... we need more than a couple of rainfalls but that will NOT happen for at least 3-4 months now, nada in between ...

I'd done a couple of hours weeding this morning by 8 a.m. A good time to do it as it's nice and cool I did my regular morning job of winding up the runnerbeans and thanking them for growing well. I've spotted the first tiny bean :blue thumb: and hope it will encourage the others.

I've got to go out soon but if it's not too warm when I get back I shall get soem more weeding done. Otherwise it will be time for relaxing in the cool indoors.
