OMG knackered is not the word
I am a job and finish man, I start and do not finish until assingned task is done

Visited Aunt on Saturday, to fix her laptop (she 81 me 66)
Next door are having their gravel drive replaced with mono-bloc, Aunt has had a
    cobbled drive since 18 canteen

Contractor from next door knocks, your drive is in a bad way missus, No it is not
well it is full of moss and debris
I will do it tomorrow for £600 oooh it is shabby but £600 is dear
OK as we are here £400 hmms ha's. Then I arrived and got rid
She says but it is shabby
Then I made my big error, Look I have a mono-bloc drive and a pressure washer I D.I.Y
    so I can do yours
Today it was a nice morning, so I skipped the gym loaded up my car and went down

When I arrived I realised her drive is 30yds long and 4yds wide, some job, but no bother
    got my pressure washer

I got set up and found my dear SIL who last borrowed it had unscrewed and kept the hose connector (why he did not just unclip the connection I do not know)
so I managed to cobble one from taps and hoses in the shed

The pressure washer did not touch the ten year old moss, So it was a lie down on the
drive with OLD YALE KEY in hand, and scrape the joints job
Eight hours of that then one hour with the pressure washer, 14 buckets of Mud/Moss
I did manage a fifteen minute break with a cuppa though

    I am DONE in

I spent the day as I did yesterday, on my knees moving along the main central border with a trowel, hand fork, scissors, and a large sack trawling out the dead stems, leaves, and debris. I also found a creeping Buttercup and dug it out and then another and another until I had dug out over 30!!!, plus Couch Grass that had somehow sneaked in when I wasn't looking;) That was another 4 large sacks of debris, stems, leaves etc that went on the Compost Heap. It's amazing how different the garden looks after you've tidied it up!! Three more borders and the surrounds of the pool to do and then it'll be time to do some pruning of the roses.:hapydancsmil: :coffee:

Today was quite frosty to start with so popped to the allotment to get bit of digging done. Then went to prune roses for a couples of hours, had lunch and planted out 2 dozen primulas and 7 nandinas. Then I came home and finished off sorting out the fron garden by putting down some landscape fabric and covering it with slate chippings. The pots to stand on it are already planted up.:)

Homebase is the place to be Al.. you're totally addicted. I always use the excuse that I was just going to the cafe for lunch in Sainsburys so it doesn't seem so obsessive :snork:

well.... last week i told you i had put my seedlings in the polytunnel, knowing fine well it was way too early and they probably wouldnt survive (the polytunnel is new n im like a big kid, no patients at all) . my lil tommotoes and my lil cucumbers died,:cry3: everything els seems to be ok up to now tho, but they,v stopped growing, its too early, there you go iv admitted it haha, Anyway, my darling hubby got a wagon of pallets dropped off from work a few weeks ago, so we,v been keeping busy building raised beds and planters, iv been walking behind him painting them to match the fences as he puts them together, we,v got unbelievable amounts of free wood and plenty more where that come from, iv also put put my our names on a waiting list for an allotment, because although i have a massive garden i can see it running out of space very soon, which is a bit selfish because we,v got 3 kids :oopss:

We've not long moved into a property which had a pond. The previous owners kindly offered to fill it in for us which we agreed too as we have two young children. Unfortunately, they filled it in with clay but left the pond liner in  , I now have the job of digging a waterlogged mess out so I can remove the pondliner and then back fill :yikes: . I have a fun few days ahead :hapfeet:
