Well, first thing this morning (around 6am to be precise) I was tip-toeing around the very quiet garden to harvest some tomatoes to take to a colleague at work, and as I was picking some of the outdoor Ailsa Craigs there was a noise from the greenhouse that nearly gave me a heart attack :runforhills:
turns out that it was one of the bamboo canes holding up a cucumber plant that could take no more (probably the three growing cues near the top of the plant) and broke clean in half - the resulting descent of the cucumber plant sent a Caribbean pepper for a gentle roll across the greenhouse floor.

I temporarily put things back to rights before heading off to work, however had to do a more permanent tie-up job on them when I got home; then it was more milk solution treatment (that will teach me for closing the windows for a couple of nights), and then on to watering.

I have shingles so I am doing only gentle, easy stuff atm. I have taken cuttings of various things and stuck them in a bit of compost. Potted up some other cuttings and plugs that I had gotten well behind on and had a bit of a tidy in the polytunnel (all with Willa's help). :)

Awwww, thanks folks. I.m surprised at how yuck it is to be honest. Still, it's a good excuse to do nothing. :)

Wish you better, Lea :blue thumb:

I spend about an hour a day picking beans and, yesterday, dug up all the onions and some of the garlic. The bugs have been leaving the veggies alone but have happily chomped away at me. Unfortunately, I react badly to the bites and am covered in blisters

There is some lovely rain at the moment, so no work out there apart from bean picking.

Loads of dead heading today, the dahlias have started to get mildew on the but it seems not to be affecting the redskins though:dunno:
Still producing loads of flowers buds though.
Must take some cuttings of my Thalia fuchsia :ideaIPB:
Picked some toms and cucumbers, the peppers are still green waiting for them to go red!

Just some more gentle potting and pottering in the polytunnel. It's a nice place to be during the lovely, soft rain. :)
