I have had to do some major tidying because of the winds and have also taken various cuttings. Put some bulbs in. I will be doing some seeding and potting in the poly-tunnel later.

not much done yesterday what with the stormy weather (that wind is fierce!) it was raining pretty much constant too (lots of darting in & out whenever there was a lull) i did manage to get the guinea pigs cleaned out & the run moved onto fresh grass  i gave the pittosporum, pyracanthus (sp) & the privet a trim, raked up all the leaves off the grass & swept the decking (which was fun if a bit pointless in the gale force wind :heehee: ) not bad considering i managed to stay pretty dry throughout despite the bad weather :dbgrtmb:

today is a different story, its still really windy but its much drier than yesterday, unfortunately i cant see myself doing much today...i don't feel too well, i think im getting the blasted bug thats been doing the rounds! :sick0026:

Picked plums and took a bag down to the nursery class for the children and staff. Picked some outdoor cherry toms and put them in the dehydrator. Gathered some of the fallen apples and made a litre and a half of apple juice.

Yesterday was a total washout, so apart from re-hanging one of the main gates (it was rubbing on the upright) I stayed indoors.

Today looks just as wet, but straight after the dog walk I will be sprinting down to the local Lidl, as spring bulbs are on offer today :)

"Black" sounds like blight, but "twisted" doesn't.

If the "twisted" came first I wonder if it could have been herbicide contamination?

sorry, should have said that I'm sorry to hear that your spuds have died, 8 bags is a lot to lose :( I'd be utterly hacked off :(

Not doing much but watering, and watching everything slowly come to an end. I reckon I will have to get my baskets down from the front over the weekend and bring them in as they are getting beyond straggly now.

                    Winter is on its way.

With rain coming and going this week I've managed to get the back garden strimmed and mowed, even though it tried to drizzle at one point. Removed a lot of leaves from the tomato plants in the greenhouse and watered. The toms outside I've binned, they were hopeless this year so I won't bother again. Tripped and fell out of the back door, so I'm now nursing a pulled thigh muscle, great!

Ouch! Sounds painful Sheal - I prescribe a nice mug of hot chocolate, a couple of paracetamol, and some well deserved GC time :grphg:

Thanks FC. :) I like your cure but sorry, I only drink water and I'm allergic to paracetamol, yes I know I'm weird! :heehee: It's not painful though and I just hope it doesn't seize up overnight.

How are you feeling today Sheal? You should try some scotch in with your water - makes it taste better ;)
