Second batch :blue thumb: - I think (Mrs Shiney is out so I can't ask her). Although a few of them had very little root at all.

The job was done yesterday, we had 8, 10 story trees taken out. They were near the house and age and the threat of a good storm could be a hazzard. Crew of 4 men, 2 bucket trucks and a 7 story crane did the work. Lifting huge logs up and over the house to the wood chipper. Logs were saved for fire wood, have two room full piles on the side of wood chips for mulching later. And they perfecting lifted the two trees out of my precious garden with out touching a plant around the trees. We now have more sunlight. But don't dismay, still have 18, 10 story trees in our front yard, and 10, 10 strory in our back yard. We opted not to have them drill out the stumps, the cost of that is an addition, so for now nature will deal with it.

Nothing done in the garden for a couple of days - this cold turned a bit nasty over Sunday night, to the point where I was sent home from work yesterday; only the second time in my life I have been sent home, and the last time was because I went in with a dental abscess the size of a tennis ball - needless to say, I don't 'do' sick time if I can get away with it.

Made a nice big pot of tomato soup for dinner ('twas yummy, even if I do say so myself), which gave me the ideal excuse to save seeds from nearly 3lb of Marmandes, which are now in a jar that is marked, fermenting.

You need good hot toddy FC, Whiskey, dash of lime, grated ginger, teaspoon of honey, then add 250ml of hot not boiling lemonade, mix well. Take 2 paracetamol, then drink before retiring to bed or in bed with a good read. :blue thumb:

I could get away with that, due to my arm problems....

To be fair, there is a larger bit around the corner, and the OH, 'suggests' that it will give a foreground to the plants that are planned for there. :dunno:

Thanks Sheal :ThankYou: - I felt grand on Sunday, apart from being a bit bunged up; I even spent the day in the kitchen making chutney and other edible niceties. Monday morning was a different story however - I had what can only be described as a toothache/earache/faceache on the right side of my face that was driving me up the wall. I think I should have continued with the Bacardi sterilisation treatment again on Sunday, instead of drinking fruit juice

My boss tried a few times to get me to go home, inferring that I didn't look my usual gorgeous self (I think the words 'bloody awful' were mentioned), and by late morning I caved in and came home. I think it settled in my sinuses, as I was getting a lot of blood out when blowing my snitch. Anyway, ibuprofen and a good night's sleep and I was a bit better this morning; had a busy day at work today, which stopped me feeling sorry for myself, and had a wee temperature most of the morning which seems to have burned the worst of it off; since mid-afternoon, I have been feeling quite a lot better, so I think I am over the worst of it.

No need for my instant cure then. Glad you are feeling a bit better, hope it continues.

                    No need to :sofa:.

I agree.... BUT. The OH says no, so I will have to wait until next spring and then have an accident, or it would be a bit obvious, and although she is female she may well see through the plan :oopss:
