Yesterday was a dry day, so finally managed to cut the grass (well, most of it, before a friend arrived to do some canine acupuncture), and I cleared a large tub-full of weeds from the new eye bed, and the more established angle bed.
I potted up another of the Aldi roses, ballerina, so now just two to go. :)
I was disappointed to find that the sunflower seed heads I cut and stored in the shed about a month ago have gone mouldy. I was hoping that I could keep the heads back until the colder months, before offering them to the birds. Ah well, I tried!

Just waiting for a break in the rain so I can get outside and plant some bulbs. I've got some Russian Snowdrops to try and crocus called Cream Beauty, Pickwick, Joan of Arc and Spring Beauty. Hopefully they'll all be ok in pots.

I've done a poop-scoop over the garden, whilst one of my dogs dug a big hole, right next to the patio, apparently looking for a mouse.....

With the rain still doing it's worst I managed an hour in the greenhouse. I potted on a couple of young Fuschias taken from cuttings, a young Prayer plant (Maranta), again from a cutting and started off some Cyclamen corms. Did a spot of watering while I was there too.

Cleared all the :autlvs: from the front of the house and next door and next door but 1 and but 2!
Filled 3 wheelie bins and then dumped them on the spare bit of land at the side of the house and filled the Darlek compost bin.
Must dig up the Thalia fuchsia soon

Good job you said that, I ordered several hardy ones last Autumn, planted out in the Spring, and included Thalia in that bunch. Never added a note to my Plants Register that it wasn't hardy :(

OtherFellow Fuchsia site says "Hardiness rating:H1 indicates plants that must be given winter protection if they are to survive, minimum temperature 7°C. Triphylla's (i.e. including Thalia) are particularly demanding in this respect, being very frost shy."

Thankfully the rain has stopped, allowing me to to plant out the Snow drops that Silu kindly sent me.

Too wet to hoe, but need to get at all the seedlings that have appeared, some are Aquilegia, so will keep some of those, but the rest I have no clue so away they will go. Hopefully the rain stays away tomorrow as promised by the weather girl, and I can finish clearing the annuals.

Spent all day in the garden so far, I've had to come in for half hour to look after kids, whilst my wife drops my sister home. So far I have planted Crocus bulbs in bottom lawn, cleared the grow house of tomato and chillies. Cut back a border to stop everything self seeding. I have planted my onions 'Electric' and Garlic 'Christo' and put a few handfuls of coarse grit around my spring cabbage, to deter the the slugs. Turned the compost heap and potted on some Shansta Daisies that I had forgotten about. Need to go back out when wife back and pot up some Cyclamen and start planting up the plants in the new dark border.

Tidied up a couple of borders. Discovered that one of two miniature roses I'd moved into one after they'd finished flowering whilst in the pots, has buds on!

There's still 2 more beds to pot up runners from.
