Well, it sounds to me as though as Jazzsi is saying the much diminished trees :hate-shocked: are the boundary and the fence is just a secondary thing.:dunno::snork:

Well, I think what's done is done and unfortunately it looks like the trimmed trees will stay as they are without any new growth. I must admit that in my early years as a Gardener with no knowledge I was constantly running over a "Weed", that kept bobbing up, with a Strimmer only to find myself being chastised by my Wife as it was a very young and small Willow that she'd planted without telling me.:snork:

Today was glorious and I just pottered about doing vaguely useful 'stuff', pulling up a weed here, cutting back the odd branch there. So much real work I should have been actually doing but it was one of those days just to relax and enjoy the garden in the winter sun

It's confession time, the neighbour wanted the hedge replaced with a fence, so she has paid for the materials & I'm doing the work.

You've certainly done the work, Jazzsi, but you didn't need to hedge about it.:dunno::heehee:

Pruned my red and black currants, yesterday and gave a bush away, a black currant bush to a new plot holder, also have taken him some cuttings for the red currants. Today have set out my new strawberry patch as my old patch is getting untidy with couch grass.-Will prune my gooseberry bushes all been well at the weekend, also take some more cuttings of these for my new found pall.

Growing lights to bring plants on sooner, indoors
Research of plants and locating seed-on-the-cheap or scrounging "Bits"
Spreadsheets, Gantt Charts, Motivational Talks ... all to be prepared!!!

Another glorious day but I did actually get stuck into some work today. Everything needing cut down has now been done (and maybe some things that I shouldn't have:oopss:) Filled another 3 garden bags full of leaves and all the compost bins are full.
