Nice to see it's getting a bit busier in here :)

Today I moved on more petunias and the last of the pansies to larger plug trays - until it rained - yesterday potted up last of the tomatoes -

Sprayed fuchsias that are sprouting in greenhouse - photo is of marigolds, petunias, pansy, bacopa, salvia.

Found a snail which had already had a munch from one of the trays - can you spot it ? - This rain is gonna bring them out in force now I am sure. :gaah:

Classed the compost heap this evening so it looks a bit nicer for me and the neighbours when looking out of the window.

I'm thinking that I might put a sloping roof on as well or is this a bit OTT?

If you put a roof on that it will be better than my shed!
Potted up 24 figaro dahlia another 40 zenith marigolds.
The coleus will have to wait till there bigger.

It was a nice warm day today and although I hadn't intended to be busy in the garden I was.:heehee: I started by pruning and trimming the Jasmine Hedge around the pond. I did initially think of using the electric hedge trimmer but for some unknown reason I decided to use the secateurs instead. That took me around an hour but it was therapeutic in a way and I enjoyed doing it. I planted a Clematis "Montana" at the foot of the hedge so that it will work it's way into it. I've already got two Clematis in the hedge but they are less aggressive than Montana so it will be interesting to see what happens.
I then checked around 50 pots that are part of the garden nursery and contain cuttings and other things for possible planting on. I took out all the weeds that had got into the pots, replaced and renewed compost, relabeled them and then swept clean the area where they are.....looks a lot better. I swept the garden paths.......again!!:wallbanging: I checked the pond and raised the level of the water using a hose that is permanently in place to do just that. I'm looking forward to donning the Chest Waders and wading around the pond in an attempt to clean out all the dead vegetation and split some marginal plants. The fish are making more of a regular appearance although they're not feeding properly as yet.
Later in the afternoon I got the hose out and gave the borders and lawn a really good soak as, here in West Cheshire, we haven't had any real rain for weeks. Digging down a couple of inches the soil is damp so water is being retained and plant roots can get to it.
I've got six more Clematis to plant, plus 2 large Fuchsias, and 6 small bush Fuchsias to plant tomorrow......I just need space to plant them:heehee: Then I need to take the large pots and put them in their Summer positions. :coffee:
