Are you still potting in the kitchen Kristen, or have you had your marching orders? :)

Hehehe ... I get my marching orders every time I do my potting in the kitchen ... selective deafness seems to be the cure to that one though! Generally only do seed sowing in the kitchen though ...

I have a nice piece of Granite that I bought of eBay for 20 quid that is my potting bench, which is in a short corridor that connects the conservatory to the house and which I share with the dogs ... I suppose I should call it the Dog House?! Its convenient being next to conservatory so I can put trays of plants once potted on, and this time of year it has all the seedlings too (greenhouses further away, and not heated, so not warm enough).

I ought to put some Music in there ... and a Telly maybe ... and perhaps a camp bed? :heehee:

Weeded the patio area, which turned out to be 25 foot by 25 foot.
Only reason its so large is cause of the large family we have.:oopss:

You mean the large space helps you bond, as a family? with 50 or 60 of your best mates? and a couple of kegs of Beer etc? :heehee:

One of the coping stones was loose on grass retaining wall so decided to do that. All the old cement was on the brick underneath it so tried to chip it away.Ended up with the brick coming loose.
Then tried to get the cement off the coping that was still on wall, that also came loose.Altogether 3 coping tops & one brick now to do.

I did some hedge cutting today. It took almost as much time to get all the gear out, put it away and clear the cuttings as it did to do the cutting. :phew:

It was hard work but, once started, I had to finish it.

Looking good, just deciding whether to do the posts or not.
                  Pics to follow :snork:
Watered the plants in the greenhouse and trimmed the lawn edges.

Moved on another 50 or so tomato seedlings, then sowed a tray of lettuce to get them started (currently in the greenhouse, but not sure if I should just put it outside as I believe lettuce likes life cool? :dunno:), also sowed 100 marigold erecta 'Lemon mum', and 50 Malva Zebrina

Moved on another 50 or so tomatoes - some of which seem to be really slow to get going (Faworyt Beefsteak - are they a bit fickle?), and then moved on approximately 60 nicotiana seedlings into the 12-cell trays.

Still worrying about my petunias though, as some of them are looking decidedly rough since moving them on - I have a funny feeling that I am about to have a mass dying session on my hands :cry3:

On a brighter note, I found my slug pellets, so have sprinkled them all over the trays to stop whatever little blighter is munching at my seedlings (particularly the marigolds) :catapult:
