What Jobs Are We Doing in the Garden Today... MK3.. 2013

I pottered around in the garden today, waiting for the weather to make up it's mind whether to rain or shine as the heavy clouds were lurking. I desperately need to mow my front lawn but that idea failed. Some spots of rain started to fall about 2pm then stopped although the clouds remained, so I gave up on the idea. Typically, by 4pm it was brilliant sunshine and by then I'd decided to go and do the weekly shop. The only thing I achieved was to re-pot some very pot bound chives, the roots at the bottom were two inches thick.

 

I hate those "diddly dee diddly daa" weather days too Sheal.

Did a bit of weeding,alot of watering...potted on my 'Big' tomatos... and planted up a couple of baskets for the ponds with water forgetmenots

 

Are you still on track for selling 1000 tomato plants at Saturday Rugby FC ?

My task today (if I choose to embrace it) is to take my inspiration from sights seen, mix with the books I bought, sweeten those with the plants I couldn't resist (bargains, all!) and then ... when Mr Mum has a 'rest day' (from work , you understand!) ... get planting!!!

 

There's always local boot sales FC, they'll go like hot cakes!

 

Painted 4 more panels and gave another 6 another coat.
Cut down a 9 foot conifer that was leaning on the fence panel.
Just 3 panels on the left hand side of the garden and another 9 foot conifer to remove.
I'm still thinking that the panels on the right hand side will need another coat.
I think I will need another 5l
That will be 25l used and I'm doing the painting motion in my sleep!
Watered the plants in the GH.

Your question probably wasn't aimed at me but in a word NO Jenny! I'd go raving bonkers in a flat, I'd live outside if I could.
