Bit the bullet today, and planted out my nine tree lillies, mainly as I was running out of space for them to stay in the pots any longer (that, and the fact that they are on the brink of flowering); took my wee tray of baby cucumber and courgette plants off the kitchen window sill and potted them on into slightly larger pots, and then watered everything.

Remember those petunias I was worrying about after I pricked them out? Here they are today:

Some more, with nicotianas on the right, and my 'lemon mum' marigold seedlings that have sprouted:

A lot of my plants are hardened off ready to plant out. Now, with the threat of frost tonight I've moved all my tomatoes back indoors from the greenhouse and put all the others that were outside back in the greenhouse. I wasn't expecting a reverse action. Is it ever going to warm up? I know it's promised from Friday but I don't think temperatures are going to be amazing even then. :gaah:

I really hope it does, and that we get some prolonged sunshine this summer - the plants need it, and to be honest I think we all need it too.

I've got turnips, lettuce and peas all hardened off and ready to plant this weekend, just holding off until i know what the weather is doing, 4 degrees this morning:hate-shocked:. Hoping it is going to stay above freezing, but just going with it and planting out when i can and fleecing everything small for their first 2 weeks!

I will be putting my baby fuchsia out on mini greenhouse, to harden off as they are getting past the toddler stage. Would like to cut the lawn but scattered showers forecast, I will see how it goes.

My attempt to bodge/build a little extention on my GH for a few stray tomatoes was doomed from the start....i know i had most of the wood and polythene to do the job but they seem to have gone missing:th scifD36: ...plus the tools were locked away out of my grasp:frown:so i bought a little 'blow away' affair....should do the trick:dbgrtmb:

Done what I hate most - thinning out seedlings, carrots and beetroot really needed it.
Sown few french beans in toilet rolls, they will be planted in containers couple of weeks before my main crop which I'm planning to sow in June.
My salad leaves inc. rocket grow like crazy! And I couldn't resist to go and taste my first tiny radish yesterday :D Yummy!

Cut the lawn, fed everything, cut the old fronds from my DA's, planted a little acer in a pot I picked up from homebase. Weeded and generally tidied.

Me and my little garden helper sowed some little gem lettuce and spring onions.
Did some slugs and snail hunting again! :catapult:
Potted on his giant sun flowers into large pots for the front garden.
Homebase has 20% all plants on Saturday and Sunday
Going to a local plant fair on Sunday morning, hoping to pick up some more unusual plants, if not off to b&q or homebase.

Sowed climbing french beans in loo rolls and put on kitchen window sill.(Too hot in GH).
Put up hoops and enviromesh over carrots.
Dug in worm compost for squash and courgettes and covered bed with weed fabric.
Potted on one squash and a courgette and moved from GH to polytunnel (will go outside in week or so).
Rolled down second half of shading on GH roof.
Fed seedling leeks, blue berries and fruit trees.

Did the lawn on Sunday morning, then nothing else since then because of the rain! Still got bedding plants to put out and pots to plant up but not had a chance yet! Cannot believe how much rain we have had in the this past week. Absolutely awful! : :gaah: On a better note, my hedychiums arrived yesterday so got them potted up and now they are in the conservatory where I hope, with a bit of heat they will get going.

Too busy yesterday to get much done but did a fair amount of weeding.

Today should be a bit more weeding and then back to the lawns! Just cutting the lawns keeps me pretty busy at this time of the year.
